If I could leave a 0 I would. Went to Oishi for lunch today. My pregnancy craving is shrimp so I Ordered the tempura shrimp with the Buffalo sauce with a side of broccoli. My food came out before anyone else’s at the table and I immediately knew it was wrong but was going to try it anyways to see if I could stomach it. What was on my plate was way off from what I ordered. boiled shrimp and broccoli tossed in hot sauce is what I was given (tasted like Louisiana hot sauce to be specific. NOT Buffalo ). I took a bite out of the shrimp and immediately knew I could not eat it. My coworker who I was with ate a bite out of the same piece to see if it was just me and she agreed it was not edible so I pushed it to the side. No broccoli or rice were touched and MAYBE half a shrimp was eaten. I’m not confrontational and being pregnant I am super emotional so I was just going to pay for the meal but my coworker insisted and told the waitress to take it from me and asked to take it off my bill due to it being completely wrong and inedible. The waitress did so and stated she needed to talk to the chef. After about 5 minutes of them talking, he threw it away and was VERY upset that I did not like my food. The waitress let me know he was not taking it off of my bill and he would speak to me shortly. I had it planned that I was going to pay at least half the meal due to them still making it but when the guy came over he immediately started to yell at me. He argued that he made it how it was suppose to be made and I just did not order correctly. I told him I ordered exactly how I wanted it but it came out completely wrong. I tried it but I couldn’t eat it. He continued to scream at me infront of the whole restaurant telling me that he threw it away but I still needed to pay for it and that I shouldn’t have ordered something so complicated that he couldn’t make. I stayed it was on the menu but if he wasn’t able to make it, it should have been communicated to me so I could choose something else but it wasn’t and he threw out a dish that was completely wrong and nothing like what was ordered. The shrimp was suppose to be the tempura shrimp tossed in Buffalo and a side of broccoli, not boiled shrimp and broccoli mixed with hot sauce. He again started yelling at me, At this point being very disrespectful. I’m unsure if he was manager/owner or what, but I’ve been in the customer service Food industry and have NEVER been talked to or had management talk to someone the way he was handling the situation. I was at that point not going to pay for the meal that I did not eat, which I decided previously that I would pay for. He said that if I didn’t pay for it he would make his staff pay for it because “I am not thinking of the business. I’m thinking of myself. the business and money he makes is what is important. So someone is going to pay for the food that’s in the trash can”. I again stated I will not pay for the food that I did not eat and that’s currently IN a garbage can. He walked away and continued to talk about me to other staff very loudly for another 15ish minutes while my coworkers finished their meals, paid, and left, Making the whole experience very uncomfortable for everyone. (I did pay for the starter and drink that I had). I use to frequent oishi fairly often but haven’t been the last few months and have NEVER had a problem like this before. Needless to say I will never go back and my hot fudge sundae from sonic came out VERY fast, with friendly service and was an absolutely delicious back up plan for this hungry mama.

Oishi is the best place to get quality sushi in Zachary. They offer a decent variety with different ingredients and their prices are reasonable. Also, they are open relatively late for the area. I haven't been disappointed yet by the food I've ordered here. I didn't order the hot and sour soup this time but it was banging the last time! ( they put shrimp in it by the way)

The waitress needs to pick her waitress game up, and my General Tso chicken wasn't spicy at all, and more breading than meat. Definitely won't be a first, second, or third pick when I'm back out there.

It was my first time eating there and I won't be back. I ordered the mushroom soup. That tasted like it came out of a can or wasn't even homemade then I got the snow crab salad it had a nice presentation but it tasted fishy. For my main meal I got the black jack and LSU roll. They both tasted good up until the point where I found a hair in one of my rolls. When I went to the owner the hair in my food he rudely said it wasn't his that it to mine. When my ticket came I saw that they didn't take one of the rolls off bc of it having a hair in it so I asked y and the owner claimed bc the hair wasn't his or his waitress hair either. So I'm wanting people that do go and eat there to be on the lookout if something like this happens that they won't take off an item on ur ticket and be nice and courteous enough to ask if I would like anything else in place of that. That was my first time going there and it'll be my last time going there as well

The couple times I ordered from them, the food was good. But, they have really bad attitudes in there. I never dined in and don't think I want to because of how nasty they were when I picked up my order.

My family loves this place. The hot and sour soup is my favorite! My husband loves their Thai options. Basically we love the variety this place offers!! The amount of food they give you compared to the price is amazing. We love this place and think it is a wonderful asset to Zachary!

I visited here on yesterday and ordered the shrimp fried rice with General Tso chicken. Due to the shrimp, I paid 13 almost 14 dollars for the meal. The chicken was ok, but the shrimp fried rice had no flavor and I counted 5 small shrimp. I will not be ordering again.

Good sushi. Always quality, fresh ingredients. Customer service is always top notch. I've only ordered to go since I'm limiting dining out during Covid, but I've never been disappointed. Oishi roll, Oyster tempura roll and Dynamite roll are my favorites!

Nice people, reasonably priced, good sushi. We generally get takeout and it's always quick, correct and friendly.
