We finally were able to get in here. Let me just say it was amazing. Everything was great. Dean our server was awesome. I would highly recommend going if you haven’t been. We had the lobster rangoons for the app. For dinner we had the Lazy lobster with Pillows. We can’t wait to go back. Now we understand why it’s hard to get in here. Make reservations in advance. The food is awesome! The service is friendly no matter how busy they get and they get very busy so make reservations well in advance (I would suggest a week). It's small so it's a bit loud for me but I might have sensory issues! They have tried to mitigate this with acoustic panels. It is well worth checking out.

Wonderful hood I suggest you make a reservation. It's small. Very quaint very distinct a little on the pricey side but if you want to go someplace special like Valentine's Day.

Wish this place could of lived up to the hype. My friend and I were excited to grab a reservation and try this place out. The location and ambiance are amazing, candlelit tables, dark, moody lets just say the place has a really cozy vibe. A+++ for ambiance. It's important to note this place is RESERVATION ONLY. We saw multiple people walk in and were told if they didn't have a reservation, they were full. Very VIP feeling. Service was great too. The only reason I am giving three stars is because the food just wasn't good. The "fresh" bread they serve to start was hard a rock and looked like a deli roll it was served with a plastic container of hummus. A little bit of a odd vibe. I ordered a fish special and my friend the gnocchi. Both were VERY bland and under seasoned. My fish was served with a creme brulee on the side, I found it kind of odd. May try it again in the future for the dollar oyster night and some drinks. We just weren't impressed at all with the food.

My wife and I moved to Amesbury over 5yrs ago and we just had our first experience at phat cat bistro. Honestly we wrote it off based on the store front then spoke with some people who raved about their food, so we decided to come in for dinner…..the food, service, and atmosphere is wonderful! It is devastating that it took us so long to come in! We will now be regulars!

Our best go to place for a wonderful meal and $1 oysters on Thursdays. Gnocci was wonderful, flounder special well done and desserts....I always ask why not have one before the meal! Great service, wonderful baker and cozy.

Can be a challenge getting in without a reservation, but it's worth the effort! Wonderful staff and a cozy (though sometimes a bit crammed) environment. Food is wonderful and specials are worth trying before gone. They have a small casual overflow bar in the back if you want to be away from the main dining room, which is nice. Good variety of cocktails for various tastes and moods.
