Samuel's/Andover Inn did a great job hosting our Chamber of Commerce Breakfast this morning. Everyone enjoyed the food and the team was very accomodating. We would definitely reccomend them!

This is our 3rd time eating here and won't be our last. We had a delicious relaxing dinner at Samuels last night! My mom and I had the chicken and Bill & Cathy had the haddock seafood dinner and both dinners were amazing. The house salad and appatizers of shrimp cocktail and spring rolls were also delicious as well as the house salads and my cozmo! The ambience is perfect and our servers, Jennifer was personable and congenial. We'll be back :)

Samuel's has recently expanded its menu (since a long delayed reopening after COVID), and the results are terrific. The menu has many more options, the staff has been expanded and the food and service are commendable. We enjoyed the Mexican street corn dip a lot! The salads are very good, and the chef prepared very rare steak expertly. We were very pleased that the restaurant and bar were busy on a Saturday night. We're looking forward to returning and sampling more of the menu selections.

Our food was delicious - the waitress was very nice and promptly in serving us but it did get busy towards the end d of the meal - the desert was good but we had better crème brûlée.

Nice venue. The crowd at the bar was quite loud which made it difficult to carry on a conversation at our table. Kitchen was a bit slow but the food was very good. Staff was attentive and friendly.

We take my mom out for a Christmas dinner every year. So my mom and I had the stuffed chicken and my partner had the crab cakes as our main dishes and they were all perfectly delicious. We also had the spring rolls, deviled eggs and shrimp cocktail for apps and salads and they were also just as good, especially the spring rolls! Our server Liza was friendly and very congenial. I would be remiss not to mention that the beautiful building, lobby and dining room were lacking Christmas decorations and cheer. A beautiful tree and some garland on the fireplace would have privided that holiday feeling instead of feeling like a blank slate. It would have made the evening feel more festive. There were a couple of pointsettias here and there but the holiday decor missed the mark and we expected more. We just live a couple of doors from the restaurant and will definately go again as the food is absolutely wonder derful!

The food was delicious.Servous was very slow. First waitress made 2 errors on drink orders. Second one was efficient and corrected errors. We will eat there again but hope the slow service improves.

An excellent experience tonight! Had a dinner for 18 people to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The Cordinator did an outstanding job arranging the evening with attention to every detail. The service was exemplary, all the guest remarked highly of the evening. The food well presented, very flavorful, and a great selection. Top notch venue, very well priced, excellent accommodation and atmosphere!

Gave this 3 Stars because the renovated restaurant is beautiful and very pleasant to sit in. they played quiet music at lunch and it was very easy to talk. however the food was lacking and I really regretted not sending my sandwich back. I ordered the Turkey and what they called fresh Turkey with apple and mayonnaise was chopped up pieces of Turkey and apple in a thick white sauce. I couldn't tell which was which and it was all soaking in a croissant. I suspect very little of it was turkey! The sweet potato fries were a mangled mess. The best part of my meal was the $6 Guinness. My friends liked their chicken soup but the salad was just lettuce with a tiny bit of cheese sprinkled on top. Bread didn't come with and it cost another $5 for a little bread. they obviously have a captive audience with visitors to the Addison Gallery and Academy, and most people there have extra money but at least give good food for that money!

Nice atmosphere and very friendly. Menu had some interesting things--hard to find a restaurant with such a diverse but solid menu. Our meals were both special in design and very good. Definite to return.

Service was great. Wood was very good also. I ordered iceberg salad to start. I liked that it wasn't drenched in creamy blue cheese dressing like to commonly can be at other places. My wife started with their summer minestrone. She says it was very tasty. She also would not share. For entree my wife had the braised short ribs and I had the steak frites. Her short rib were huge. I assume they had bone but no, they were boneless. We finished half of each and took the rest home. We felt very satiated. For dessert we shared their cheesecake with berries, and each had a hot tea. The one thing keeping my score at 4 stars instead of 5 was how freezing we felt. Air conditioner was set too low for this time of year.
