We used to love Shanghai, the last time I went was in November. Our food took forever. The staff member told me a new owner was buying it. I asked if the gift cards were going to be honored and he said yes. So purchased 3 gift cards ($90.00) to use on New Years Eve as we always do. We tried to call for an order in December and we found out they were closed! We are so upset and feel screwed we were never told they were closing and we were MISLED now we are stuck with gift cards we cant use!!!!

We always go there. We love it. However, we were there on Nov 16. There was one waitress. The cook was waiting tables, friends from the bar were clearing tables. After 2hrs, yes 2hrs we got our food. Some of it was cold, but still tasted delicious. We stopped by there last week and there is a sign on door saying closed for renovations. I hope that is true and that they are not closed for good. Such a shame if they don't reopen.

Does anyone know if shanghai gardens is still open? Last sunday no one answered the phone and again today no one is answering. I usually order delivery but I am a regular customer, i order weekly. I hope they are just on vacation. Hope they did not close. Their food is fabulous.

Great prices and food! The lady who is the co-owner goes the extra mile on Thanksgiving when other establishments are closed!! The best Chinese restaurant in New England!

Today we went in to have a wonderful meal as we usually do. But it turned out that there was only 1 waitress because the other called out and they had the rest of the staff trying to help out. The place was pretty busy, but when we got our food, most of it was cold. When we looked around the place other people at their tables were also complaining about the same thing. Not a great experience this time. So sorry to say.

Would have loved to try the food, but after waiting over 30 minutes and still no food we paid for our drinks and left...The waitress was new and she was wonderful, the issue was no support from management...You have someone new, you support that person not leave them alone...Now we know why Mon Kou was packed, wonder how many people walked out and went there...Support your staff

I've been going there since it open I recommend teriyaki in the yakamein soup excellent food plenty of parking in a koi pond out front
Talk about terrible experience. First off, I haven't walked into this place in years. The second I walked in...... I was greeted with dirty dishes, empty bottles, and a smelly a** bartender. Not to mention, he was outside smoking a cigarette and didn't even WASH his hands before serving me and my friends. I don't know what management is like, but talk about a free for all. Bartender just gave away the whole entire bar right before my eyes. I'm a bartender. So to watch someone literally poor half liquor into a 16 ounce glass is beyond me. The food was good. The only thing that took away from my delicious beef teriyaki was the BO The bartender had. This place is great..... but wow....... dirty dirty dirty. Stinky stinky stinky.

The food was very delicious and cooked/made to perfection. Amazing customer service and the staff were very polite and respectful. The bathrooms were very clean as well. I enjoyed my time here.

Very disappointing. My margarita tasted like a cheap pre-mix. I got the sesame chicken while my wife got the shrimp, scallop, crab Rangoon combo. The chicken and shrimp were the kind you get frozen from the supermarket. Add slow service on top of the food issues. We won't be back.
