Always an exceptional choice if you're in the area.

This is a Korean restaurant that I visit at least once a month because of the US military training. Being in a military unit reminds me of home-cooked meals. The side dishes are delicious and no matter what dish I order, it is simple and clean. Thank you for relieving me of not being able to always eat home-cooked meals.

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere, I always get the same thing and it never fails to make me want seconds. The chicken was so crispy and savory that paired really nicely with the tea that they give you. Definitely a place to stop by if passing through!

My husband and I moved to LA from central MA. Even though the Korean food in LA is the best outside Korea and even better than NYC, I still miss and crave the Kimbap and banchan at Woo Jung in Ayer.I think it’s a pretty huge deal that they serve some Korean Chinese dishes like jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk, because really even in Boston you won’t find them. They are beloved dishes.Obviously Korean food is trendy right now, and everyone is a critic. But the bulgogi, pajeon and mandu have always been great. The family who runs this business makes the food in their own way. I’ve been eating here since the 90s when they still had floor seating, and I can even remember when Ayer had other Korean restaurants and businesses were still in the area. This restaurant has stood the test of time with good reason, and I hope that it continues to do so, because I’ve been to other Korean restaurants in the area, and they really aren’t it.This area is very much a food dessert outside of pizza and subs and is very lucky that Woo Jung is in business. I’m looking forward to visiting next time I am visiting home!

This little restaurant in a tiny Massachusetts town is not one to miss. Incredible, authentic dishes with an abundance of tasty sides to boot. Worth the hour-long drive. We’ll be coming back regularly!

This spot is such a gem. Been going here for over 5 years, the food is always incredible, and the service is wonderful. They are so friendly and helpful and just the FOOD! Oh man.The sweet and spicy fried chicken is to die for, decadent and perfectly crispy every time. The banchan is delightful, the tea is wonderful, the egg drop soup is wildly amazing.Highly recommend!

The bibimbap is to die for. Every time we get it, the food is consistently delicious. Also the food is always ready in a timely manner and the workers are extremely nice.

This once stellar Korean restaurant has nosedived into a pit of despair under its new unfriendly and downright greedy owner. It's a sad excuse for dining, a mere shadow of its former glory. Gone are the smiles, replaced by servers so slow and inattentive you'd think they're doing you a favor. The lighting and interior are nothing short of horrendous, creating an atmosphere that's downright depressing. And let's talk prices - they have the audacity to blame inflation while charging a whopping $22 for a bowl of Jajangmyun and $5 for a bowl of white rice. It's practically daylight robbery. The owners seem to think they're entitled to siphon money from patrons without offering anything in return. Instead of investing in the place, they're using inflation as an excuse to double the cost of items you can get elsewhere for half the price. What was once the crown jewel of Korean-Chinese cuisine in Boston has become an embarrassment. The owners should use the money they're greedily taking from patrons to at least clean up and renovate this dump. It's a disgrace to think people are still coming here expecting quality Korean food. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear. Someone with respect for customers and real appreciation for Korean cuisine should open a new spot in the area to rescue unsuspecting diners from wasting their money on this pitiful excuse for a restaurant.
Excellent food, good service. Have been going to this place for over a decade.

Woo Jung has been in Ayer 33 years and there is a reason for it. Quality and good service. I remember this place went stationed on Devens in the 90s and it's still good food. It's a simple low frills decor on the inside but comfortable. Very clean and tidy. I like the intro of scissors to cut the long noodles.
Always an exceptional choice if you're in the area.
