Worth the wait (if you have to). Pleasant and well-staffed. A good food value and grits(!!!). The locals know of this spot. Seats or at the counter, a great experience. Excellent.

Excellent breakfasts and lunches! Service is very friendly and efficient. Recently my elderly sister became faint and ill and was treated with the concern that went above and beyond! Thank you for this local gem!

Decent venue with friendly staff.Had the steak and eggs. Steak was prepared well but overall quite chewy.Wanted to avoid bread and fried potatoes and asked to substitute fresh fruit. Nice selection of fruit, however there was a $4 charge, even though the price for each side was basically the same. Not a huge deal but could have been posted or server could have mentioned it.

We love this classic breakfast and lunch place. The counter and booths are so cute. There's a wide-ranging menu, and I recommend ordering the egg benedicts, breakfast burrito, and/or the chef specials are great. Staff are friendly and the service is fast. And prices are reasonable. It doesn't get better than this!

We love the restaurant.. went there the other day ordered omelets.. they did not cook the linguica, peppers, onion, mushrooms .. put into the egg raw. It was so gross! Not sure I will ever come back! Raw linguica is awful!Parking: It’s fine

NEW YEAR'S SPECIAL OPENING HYANNIS, MA (Reported by Steve A.) Extra, extra! Read all about it! Restaurant actually open on New Years! Restaurant full of patrons and willing to accept Yelp Elite! This reporter was granted the star seating in the diner, the first table just past the hostess stand. It was also the only open table, and later guests faced a wait in the middle of winter in the middle of Cape Cod. That is how you know this place is loved by locals. Despite the crowd, service was prompt and friendly for our entire visit. Our server was very open, noting that my chosen cornbread had an upcharge to replace the toast that came with my omelette. (Only $1.50, so absolutely make that change and get yourself that muffin!) She also offered several hot sauces for my choosing upon ordering the omelette, and I heard many other tables ordering the same Cholula for theirs. The star of this report is fresh ingredients. The omelette was hot and fluffy, stuffed full of ingredients. I don't mind that the cheese pooled in one side, since it was delicious white cheddar that pointed to "cheddar" not just being a storebought lower-quality block. Excellent omelette, but I must issue a full report: the home fries were rather plain tasting, and the sausage was but a link sausage. I did not catch that this was not the andouille sausage offered elsewhere on the menu, but I am sure they could have switched the sausages for the one I really wanted. New headline: LARGER SLICES BEAT LINK CHUNKS. The corn muffin had excellent flavor but was a little dry, as corn often does. Does not change my recommendation to order a muffin. Looking for a lede? How about "Dine En Masse at Diner In Mass."?
