Love Backbeat Brewing. They have the best local selection of cask ales, a great indoor and outdoor space, and always have really good live music.

Great beer, cool people. Love their live music, and in the fall when they open the doors, it's a beautiful hang

Charming local brewery opposite the commuter rail, serving a healthy variety of casked beers and ales. Keep in mind that cask beers are naturally carbonated, and this can sometimes be perceived as flat by people who aren't used to drinking them. You're not going to get the sharp sting of carbonation on your first few sips, but it has a unique style all of its own. My own personal preference is that darker beers work better with the cask system but again that's just personal preference. Really loved the outside patio!

Hi. To the owner or manager - I promise to delete this review once you acknowledge it but this is the easiest way to make you aware of a situation. I love your coffee. But your morning shift barista destroyed the milk when she heated it up. It was sooooo hot it actually tasted slightly burnt and the increased temp destroys all the hard work of roasting your espresso properly. Short and sweet, you have to retrain the barista or I have to stop coming here. As an ex barista (can ya tell?), you need proper training to froth milk. Don't laugh readers! This is a technical process to get the temperature and milf fats whipped properly. If you can fix this problem- I'm a customer for life. Just reply to this post and once rectified I will delete the 1 star rating. Lastly, always ask customers if they want cinnamon on their cap- I f***g hate it and that didn't help the situation. However, when a drink is made properly I will overlook it. You have to get her some help - she thinks she's doing it right and I didn't want to be the know-it-all jerk customer who corrects here. Let's fix this please! I want to frequent your business. Thanks.

Delicious beer. A unique offering of cask ales and others beyond the bog-standard ipas found everywhere these days. Had the Levi, Deux Fois, Monty, Park St. Common. Great jazz, at 2:00pm on a Saturday afternoon. Super cool.I was going to ding them a star because we ordered 1 eggplant parm and a pretzel with beer cheese and got 2 chicken parms. The fellow behind the bar insisted that was what we ordered. Was inflexible on the point.Eventually the owner did get us an eggplant parm and a pretzel to get things right. He was cool with it. The food was delicious but the beer was better.

Great beers! If you’re a fan on beers on cask, you’ll love this place. If you’re not a fan, give it a try. The other beers were top notch, too.

it’s a genuinely authentic club, if you like English else, which I do. The problem is that the information on their website and their front to work do not match concerning their hours so several trips down there have been a waste of my time because they aren’t open when they say that they will be. It’s gonna be a while before I give it another try but if you’re lucky enough to find it open and you’re in Beverly. It’s worth a stop.

One of the few places you can regularly find pints of cask ale. The keg beers are excellent too.

That lead picture is false advertising. I have never seen a glass that big at BB. Their pours are the smallest on the North Shore. By a lot. Hey owners, how about a pint? They claim 12 ounces is “standard everywhere” but the 5 taprooms I often frequent in Beverly and Salem ALL serve pints.
