Unique aesthetic which obviously plays to the train theme, as does their sister location The Hardcover being adorned with old books. The Depot also offers a great location for those out-of-towners taking the commuter rail, it’s literally as you disembark the train. Their menu is quite meat and seafood heavy, being a vegetarian. However their salad bar, bread and cheese is nice. Other than that there were very limited options for a vegetarian, last time I went there was just one pasta dish or vegetable/starch sides. Now they don’t offer that pasta. So, if you are a vegetarian or vegan, this is not your place. But, if you like meat and seafood and a menu that seldom changes, you’ll like it.

We went to Beverly Depot for Valentine's Day, and everything was exceptional from the service to the drinks to the main course to dessert! We've been many times, and personally, I never had a seafood dish. The haddock with crabmeat stuffing was a generous portion and perfectly cooked and so tasty. The Depot Cosmo was a perfect start to the evening and the wine with dinner was a generous pour (which you don't see at a lot of in restaurants these days). Of course the salad bar is the best around and so fresh along with my favorite, the cheddar cheese and fresh baked bread. The shared caramel, coconut, banana and pecan fried ice cream dessert was so unique and beyond delicious, and even the coffee and the coffee drink to cap off the evening had such a great smooth flavor! The staff was super friendly and attentive and paced each course perfectly. The value for such a complete quality meal in such a great atmosphere was phenomenal as well! Thanks to the team at The Beverly Depot. Keep up the great work!!

I hadn't been to this restaurant in years and decided to treat myself. It is still at the top of its game. Outstanding salad bar. Our group got pork chops, filet and steak for two. All were cooked perfectly. Dessert was fresh fruit parfait- so good! If you like coffee drinks post dinner, they use fresh whipped cream and the glass is coated in burnt sugar. Great special occasion treat.

Waitress was good. Appetizers came while we were still enjoying our salads. Calamari was cold and soggy, scallops were fine. I ordered the T bone ($49) rare and got it well done. Hubby hates to complain, so I got to bring it home to throw it away. Not going back anytime soon. Will find someplace else to take my friends and daughter next three holiday dinners.
