We are visiting from Chicago and stumbled upon Al’s and wow so glad we did. We’ve been in town for (4) days and have visited Al’s twice. We will grab some to go sandwich’s before we depart as well. Can’t get enough of the fresh bread & toppings, quick and friendly service and the value is unbelievable! 10 inch sub, chips & drink for $13.00! Top notch sandwich place!

Asked if I could order a steak bomb with no mushrooms and was told yes. When they called my number I asked again. I said now this is a state on with no mushrooms. And the girl said yes just as you requested. The attached picture is the pie of mushroom found in the very front of the 12 inch sub. There are many, many more throughout the rest of the sandwich. So I just wasted $14 and now on. The train to new york with nothing to eat.

I’ve been going to Al’s since 2015 and it is always consistently delicious, fast service, and a great value.I think the bag lunch is probably the best value lunch in all of downtown

Consistently Delicious and fresh tasting. But I get diarrhea after eating here. So I stopped.

My fiancé ordered what I thought was going to be a chicken parm sub from this place yesterday to learn that they used grilled chicken instead of breaded chicken cutlet in their subs… was thrown off by this as that’s not generally how that sub is made anywhere else….plus the chicken was dry. Almost seemed like it was boiled chicken… not a fan ?

Rather disappointed after receiving a chicken parm sub from this place to find that they use grilled chicken, that was rather dry, instead of breaded chicken cutlet in the sub. Unfortunately, this is a sign of a place or staff that didn't take the time to research what chicken parm even is.. I'm sure other stuff on the menu is fine but they need some classes on classic sub making... especially if you're gonna do biz in the Northeast TBH

Al's......THANK YOU!!!!!! I walked over today from my work, and I was hoping and praying the chicken salad recipe had not changed in the last 15 years. Al's chicken salad was my absolute favorite sub of all time, and I would always get it when I was working as a deckhand for Boston Harbor Cruises. I am SO thrilled to say, it is as delicious as I remembered!!! I love that they don't put celery/raw onions into the mix. It is perfect as it comes, and I had lettuce and tomato onto my roll. The bread is fresh, and the regular/small size is huge! Thank you to all of you for your consistency in flavor, ability to manage a crowd (although I fortunately got right in today, arriving on the earlier side), and your team's welcoming attitudes. Al's still is and always with be the GOAT!!

Here is an experience - I am a regular to this deli(since 2013-14) - they are great most of the time, today I went for lunch sub- paid my money- the lady did not give me the receipt- I told -her I paid, she gave a receipt for small sub with some conditions, I told her- I paid $12.5 for large sub...she wrote something which is written in poor english, my sub did not come after 10+ mins, I complained - she told I did not pay, I told I paid....then owner and others were in arguments with themself...but I had to leave early, I cant wait there and resolve this after another 10 mins which I did not have time, So, long story short- the counter lady was pathetic and unprofessional. Btw, I can show the bank statement- I had to buy my lunch from TraderJoe- It was sad, I totally understand - it was mistake from the counter lady, but she had zero ethics....totally unprofessional...btw, all this happened around 12.20pm....my no was...xyz41, I was surprised when they served food to 50 or 59....not 41, I would love to give zero to that lady
