Fantastic brunch and service at this neighborhood restaurant. The egg white scramble was a hit. My friends all received the huevos rancheros were a hit with my friends.

Awesome food, great drinks, lovely staff (especially Butterfly!) and a stunning back patio. Love that they have a varied menu and their brunch is great.

This reviewer was unsure what to expect at the Ashmont Grill, seeing how there are only three other TA reviews for it in the last two entire years. But we did call ahead, they were open, and we recently had dinner there on a Saturday evening around 5 pm. It's not clear whether the Ashmont has dedicated parking any longer. The area on the south side where there used to be parking spaces now seems to be used for covered outdoor tables. That was fine, I guess, since we had no problem at all parking on Talbot Avenue, about a hundred yards north, near a convenient crosswalk, but -- considering the area -- I'd still have been more comfortable parking on-premises. The atmosphere in the Ashmont Grill was stylish and relaxing. We were seated promptly, and the noise from busy Dorchester Ave did not penentrate inside. Our party ordered the grilled salmon, the turkey burger, and the pesto chicken. The meals arrived pretty quickly and were tasty; however, the one of our party who'd ordered the turkey burger noted that it was somewhat on the dry side. And flagging down the server for the bill at the end took longer than it should have. Dinner for three was a little expensive, coming to $75, including one cocktail, but not including tax or tip. In summary, I'd like to try the Ashmont again in the near future, maybe on a weekday, and see if the issues were just one-offs.

I was completely disappointed with the food. The portions were small, the flavor was below some of the local sub shops and the price was way to high. $100 and we both left hungry. The servers were nice but not very engaging. I asked about the specials and was told they are on the menu which is online that's another thing probably a good idea to have regular menu's ppl don't wanna break out there phones to look at a menu takes away from everything.

We've been pretty steady customers here since this place has opened but want to implore management to do better with how they collect and share information on ingredients in the food. My partner had an awful allergic reaction the other day to the burger and fries -- things we order pretty regularly. His lips swelled right after eating the fries. I called today to ask if they could share the specific ingredients in each item to see if we could figure out what it was. The person answering the phone said they couldn't find the bag where the bread ingredients were located, and also left out naming ingredients that my spouse remembered was in the burger. Other restaurants take this kind of inquiry seriously and are more professional in how they provide a comprehensive list of ingredients so I really hope they can do better on this front.

Welcoming and captivating ambience. Great dishes (although I wish the meat in the burgers was more flavorful) and good place for drinks. We typically dine-in with our infant child, and have always received an excellent service from the waiters and staff. Highly recommend!

Good food but had a slight fly problem from the door opening and closing. Wasn't happy with the buzzing around my food. But that's mother nature for you. Not the restaurants fault. Got a pasta dish and pork belly sliders. Very good and the waitress was amazing will go again.

I was dropped off here with a date. I came in with high expectations after reading all the reviews and was not dissapointed! Staff avoided my table for around 35 minutes and I would sometimes overhear the staff snicker at me for ordering Modelo while being of Candian descent. My date didn't like the food either. 5/5 stars

I am absolutely disgusted with this place. I highly advise you do not waste your time or your funds. The food was disgusting and everything came out cold. The staff were very, very, very dismissive, cold, not receptive and RACISTS! They have foul mouths, use nasty language, have attitudes towards customers and insult you. This was my first time attending this establishment and it will be the last. Again, do not waste your time or your money. Mediocre service, bland food and an unprofessional and racist staff.

Tired menu, the staff closes both restaurants as early as they possibly can, and they are all as rude as can be. i am going to give this place a break for a couple of years until they finally clean house.

We used to go here for their $1 oysters (Thursdays until they run out )a lot before covid hit. It's probably been 3 years since we came back. I'm really happy they were manage to stay open through the pandemic. Was craving oysters and luckily it was Thursday ! It used to be so busy that the wait can be long sometimes. It was pretty dead when we got there. We were greeted by the nice hostess and was seated less than 5 mins. Got approached by our waitress immediately and we placed our two dozen oysters right away. The oysters came out in like 10 mins. Presentation was still the same, good. The oyster quality was alright. Can't complain when it's $1 each. I love it here because of their vinaigrette with red onions they include with the oysters as condiments. It's so good! Moving on to the actual meal. I told myself I would never order steak from a restaurant and what did I do? I ordered a steak lol I ordered their $38 rib-eye steak, medium rare of course. First look when it came out, it looked pretty decent and well presented. First initial cut, it was more on the medium/medium well side .... First bite, bland and tasteless. Felt like there was no seasoning on it at all. What's so hard with salt and pepper? Lol I had to season it myself at the table. Mashed potatoes were better than the steak and it wasn't great either. Now the baked Mac and cheese... I will say it was better than the ribeye for sure but it was also bland.... I also had to add a little salt to it. It tasted mediocre, I'm sorry.... Overall, I will still come here only for their oysters... This review is based on food, only. Our waitress was awesome. She was really nice and attentive. Thank you!

Wonderful place to eat out as a family as well as date night. They have small private dining rooms out in the back perfect for intimate celebrations.

Horrible dining experience. Our waiter was inattentive and rude. Management was tepid about our problem. Disappointing, since I have been going since they opened. I will give them another shot.... someday.
