Although none of the dishes blew me away flavor-wise, this is solid place for seafood tapas in the South End. We went with a large group, so got to try several small plates on the menu. Main thoughts on the food are: - Calamari and patatas bravas were the standouts. Would definitely recommend. - Both the clams and mussels appeared to made with a similar sauce, so could have just gotten one or the other without missing out on much. Also, the sauces had a noticeably butter-y taste. - Meatballs were small, tough, and so tightly packed that none of the sauce could permeate inside. Would skip. - Hamachi and salmon crudo were both fresh and well-presented, but had similar citrus flavors so again could have just gotten one or the other. - Cauliflower was not particularly memorable or unique, would skip. - Mushrooms were tender, but made with vinegar. This take was unique, but I was personally not a fan. Overall, this is a cute place to go with friends. Service, decor, presentation, portion sizes, and food quality were all great. Just didn't have that extra oomph of flavor to make me excited about coming back again. 3.5 stars

Food - Neatly organized menu with raw, small plates, and large plates with lots of options especially for the seafood lovers. We tried the salmon trudo and trucha. Both were wonderfully presented and delicious! Drinks- Lots of cocktail options to choose from. Mostly gin, whiskey, and tequila based. Totally recommend 'cheap ticket to rio' if you're into absinthe. Decent wine list for food pairings. Service- Very friendly, courteous, and polite staff. Ambiance- Lovely ambiance with dim lights and minimalistic but elegant design theme. Perfect for date night!

The restaurant serves with tapas style and has great cocktails. We went on a weekday during restaurant week although we opted out of doing the restaurant menu because the actual dinner menu had so many great options. The restaurant was not busy and weight. Staff was very attentive you have to get the octopus, probably some of the best octopus I've had.

I had heard great things so I wanted to try but honestly not the best place we've been to or even close. The service was mediocre. Which I guess is to be expected since they add a service tip to the bill. We got a lot of items but most of them lacked flavor. We had to ask them for hot sauce to add even a little bit of spice to make up for the lack of flavor. The ambiance was a little odd because some parts were super lit and bright while others weren't. It seemed like it was crammed and the chairs were so low to the ground that my long coat was being stepped and trampled on. We got the mushrooms, patatas bravas, mussels, clams, crab soup, calamari, octopus, shrimp and salmon crudo. The salmon crudo fish was not fresh. The octopus and calamari lacked flavor or even salt. Shrimp, crab soup and mussels were good. The clams were the smallest clams i've ever seen in my life. Not a fan and very expensive. Would probably not be my first choice to recommend to people.

Early on, Service was really good- great crew . Very friendly and attentive. Nice ambiance and not too loud for a date or friendly gathering. Food? Had the halibut which was dry and under seasoned. Did not send it back- admittedly so adding a star. Most disappointed with server's (his) lack of apology when giving feedback about the halibut dish whatsoever and ignored us thereafter. Not sure the 20% automatic gratuity is deserved but let it go for others on the team.

The restaurant was really nice, we didn't have to wait to be seated. The waitstaffs were very nice and helpful when ordering from the menu. Every dish we ordered were really delicious. I personally love the Grilled Octopus, Calamari and red beet salad, the drinks were divine ?. I think is a neighborhood gem . Definitely will come back.

Average food, good drinks, but the check included a 3% 'operations' fee and a 20% gratuity. The bartender was great, so I'd likely have tipped at least 20 percent, but forcing me to do it feels lousy. For this reason alone, I'll never go back.

Only challenge is limited parking. Maybe could work something out with neighboring business to make some parking spaces available. Off street parking has a tied limitation of 2 hours.

There's no shortage of tapas restaurants in Boston and unfortunately Atlantico didn't really stand out. I will say the ambiance and decor was beautiful. However, the food didn't really wow me and for the prices they have, you really should be wowed ($200 for 2 ppl and I didn't leave very full). Octopus was delicious and well prepared. The salmon crudo was a tad too acidic. The fish croquettes were pretty bland which was disappointing. Service was great, as were our drinks, so I'd def recommend for drinks!

We were a party of 10 arriving after church. We called to give the restaurant a heads up and our table was waiting. We were promptly served drinks and our appetizer orders were taken. The octopus, Brussel sprouts and meatballs were a huge hit. Several of us ordered the fish sandwich which was huge. I ordered the short ribbed hash with a fried egg and I literally cleaned my plate. Overall amazing food and service. Really regret we didn't get pictures but we will be back.

Had a great experience here for the second time! Recently went with a large group with a variety of dietary needs and everyone was accommodated. One of the vegetarians said “these are the best mushrooms I have ever had.” It was fun to share everything and the service was good. My favorites were the oysters, tuna, brussels sprouts, calamari and mushrooms! Others in my group loved the cocktails. I highly recommend this restaurant!Vegetarian options: They were very accommodating- they made Brussels sprouts without bacon when askedParking: Many metered spots surrounding the restaurants, meters are over at 6pm! Easily found a spot on a Saturday night.
