This place used to be good, it has 100% gone down hill. I’ve tried to order twice to pick up and it is never ready on time/they have not even checked their incoming online orders. The ownership change was a major downfall. Everything tastes not good and it’s not worth the money. Menu items have changed and everything tastes from the freezer.

I ordered the Chicken & Lamb Shwarma pita wraps... food was phenomenal. Service was very good. Tried a spicy sauce on the side and it was very good. Id like to return and eat here again, perhaps try something new as well!

Food and service are top notch, and I MEAN top notch. But two drawbacks. First, NOBODY there speaks more than BROKEN English. Second, the tiny joint is always and constantly mobbed up with delivery people awaiting customer orders, and NONE of them speak ANY English WHATSOEVER.

Ordered delivery because it was one of the few places open. They got half of my order wrong, but it was just a salad so that's no big deal. The bigger deal was my falafel rollup. It barely held together inside the thin stale pita. The falafel was mushy and the entire interior of the wrap was unseasoned. I could have just thrown my money into a dumpster and at least I wouldn't have the taste of bland falafel haunting my mouth.

Sadly nowhere near as good as it used to be. The original owner's hummus recipe was, I swear, the best hummus I'd ever had. Now it just tastes store-bought.

Updating my review because I had the chicken shawarma and lamb shawarma plate and this place is amazing! The meat is perfectly cooked -- very flavorful without having a raw gamey taste other places often have. Service is solid. I can attest this is definitely one of Boston's hidden treasures and entire menu is Halal. Can confirm there is sitting area -- definitely casual. Will be back very soon, I want to try other parts of their menu.

Arrived to pick up food and they said they did not have the order and that I will have to wait 20 minutes.

This place used to have the best schawarma plates. It's now turned into a mix of Mexican/Salvadorean/ and atrocious Mediterranean food. The meat was the driest most unseasoned overcooked garbage I've ever consumed in my life. Just have a Latino restaurant. They have no business serving this cuisine.

Great food. Tacos and pupusas were great too. Service was fast and good. Will definitely come back

I think the only reason this place stays in business is because of the local bars & the fact that they're open late. The food here is really bad & I've on several occasions seen the workers handle food without gloves & even putting raw meat where they prepare the wroll-ups! I can only imagine what else goes on. They also have rodents & roaches..if you don't believe me, check out the Mayor's Food Court (inspection report.) You're welcome!

My recent visit to Azama was a letdown. I ordered the mix shawarma over rice, but the dish lacked flavor and the beef shawarma was dry. Service was sluggish, and the ambiance couldn't salvage the experience. Azama has room for improvement. I can't recommend it in its current state.

Food under new ownership is not good. It’s a shame because Azama was always a reliable and satisfying late night option. The falafel wrap has absolutely no flavor - from the falafel itself to the lettuce and cucumbers, everything tastes like nothing. I couldn’t finish it.

This is a fake Mediterranean restaurant. Ran by Spanish workers. I got the falafel plate and roll up. Both items were flavorless, the rice was even colorless. I’ve gone to plenty Mediterranean spots and this place was by far the worst. All the the pictures and counters were covers in a thickkkk dust, showcasing the fact that they never wipe the place down. The falafels were a strange forest green color and were very gummy. Did not taste authentic at all I’m sorry.
