Totally mediocre coffee. There are much better choices nearby.

The coffee is very good here- but it's very small (one size) for the price of $7-8. I used to like coming here to do work, but I noticed today that they purposely started blocking/covering their power outlets to not let people sit for a longer time.

I'm partial to this location because it was my first Blue Bottle experience (the first of many) and the windows make it really pretty :') I understand the hype; Blue Bottle is reliable and more importantly, reliably good. Iced Nola (not pictured), Hot Nola, and Iced Matcha were all perfect (no modifications needed); I had low hopes for the matcha at first but it exceeded expectations. The matcha could've been stronger, but that's because I usually prefer matcha strong enough to be a little bitter so this didn't detract from the overall experience. All drinks were creamy, rich in flavor, and very craveable. Iced Nola is our particular go-to!

The place was cute and clean. Blue bottle always has aesthetic and minimalist stores. The staff was very friendly also. The matcha however was just not if. Very bland tasting and it was in a paper cup so I could see if it was clumpy but it tasted a bit clumpy. Would come back for coffee but not the matcha

The coffee here is so good, reason I keep coming back but the service will eventually make me look else where. Tons of great coffee spots on Newbury, this is just closer. They just have an attitude & don’t care to be there, feels rushed when making an order even when no one’s in line. On my last visit one barista didn’t care to make eye contact and when I said thank you I got a blank stare. I figure she had a long day, but she was nicer to everyone after me…Just now which is what prompted me to write this review, the barista mentioned they close in 4 mintues when I asked if they warm the banana bread here (time was 5:17pm) I apologized because I thought they closed at 6pm which after some silence she said we do close at 6pm….hm. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten good service here. Maybe once.

I’ve been to Blue bottles around the world, this was the most bizarre. All three baristas were visibly annoyed and muttering to each other about each customer that paid. I waited five minutes to order- there was no line. Then ten minutes for a Nola that I saw sitting on the back counter so I asked how much longer. The barista I asked (couldn’t tell their pronouns), was SO rude. They told me I could get a refund if I was in such a hurry, I said I would wait. Two people with the same name ordered the same drink about 10 mins apart. When the first order was ready, I watched them give it to the person who just ordered and they said “too bad.” WOW, AWFUL BEHAVIOR. When she came back to get her drink he said oh, I can make that for you now…I still love blue bottle but what in the world was that. Those baristas were awful. All three. (Wed daytime shift)

The woman that served me was rude, maybe because I’m a man? I don’t know but, seems like she is politically infected. Coffee was not bad, but not great. They need to hire ppl who don’t come to work with a paper mask that spreads disease.

The coffee is good but on a pricey side, and trying to work here is tough. There are no working power outlets, and the blaring generic music, at a volume that looks like it might be damaging the speakers, makes it challenging to focus…

Good spot. Tight space, which is to be expected on Newbury St. But it's a great spot if you can find a place to sit. Same great coffee as usual.

Fantastic coffee. I would highly recommend committing to the fact that if you want coffee here it’s going to take a little bit of time. So go in knowing that. It’s typical for a busy city location. The staff did a great job with getting our order together. There was a lot of people and it took about 10-15 minutes. So not bad at all. Really great atmosphere and there is a lot of people using the space to do school work in. I would recommend grabbing a drink and going. Enjoy the city, walk around, and enjoy your coffee.Check out my photos to get a sense of the space.
