Ordinary food with a big price tag! Fat rice rolls is too oily, even a fat rice lover finds it unpalatable.

Food: 3 stars 2 orders of juicy bun dumpling, 1 order of fried dumplings and 3 different type of noodle soups with an add-on of spare ribs. Unfortunately we didn't like any of the noodle soups. The add-on spareribs were too dry and tasteless. Juicy bun dumplings were ok. Service: 2 stars Zero. It was our first time here. We figured it out on our own. They showed you a table to sit down and that is pretty much it. We saw the QR code for menu and realized that we need to order through this QR code. They brought the food to the table and walk away. They forgot to give us spoons for our juicy bun dumplings. We have a little kid with us and he needs folk. We also need small bowls to share since . It was a little hard to get someone's attention for help. They get a bit irritated when you ask for help. Lolz Do I recommend this place? It is not for us. We wouldn't come back again. But you should try since everyone's tastebuds are different.

I was drawn in by the Roast Duck Noodle Soup - when I saw it, I knew that would be dinner for the night! Walking into Boston Soup Dumplings on Friday night, the restaurant was pretty full. The whole interior is made up of tables for seating. You have to order using a QR code, which probably makes the food come out faster. Of course I ordered the soup but I was slightly disappointed. The broth didn't have that much flavor and the duck was mostly bone. To be fair, it did mention on the menu that the broth wasn't spicy. I noted that and added some chili oil which definitely kicked it up a notch. The meat that was on the duck was beautifully seasoned - downright delicious! But there was so little of it, I found myself searching through the bone/skin/fat pieces trying to find more meat. Not sure if it was just my bowl or that's the way its served. Overall, it was a good experience and I know they're known for heir dumplings, so maybe I'll try that next time!

Why don't you add broth to your braised pork rice? It's all done...

Ordered Braised Beef Noodle Soup, above expectations! Dine-in experience was also joyful. 9.5/10

They don’t even look at your notes. And noodles are just stuck together like a giant rice cake. Soup is very good though.

Cannot recommend more. Great price for the food. I find no food is cheap anymore (not even fast food god help us all), but it's very reasonable pricing. The food is delicious!!! My boyfriend and I went there for Valentine's Day and it was a really great experience (we were actually supposed to go to a fancy restaurant and cancelled last minute because of how badly we wanted to go here). We ended up ordering two meals actually, one for there and one to go. While there we tried the scallion pancakes, pork dumplings, and pork soup dumplings. Greatly recommend all of them. To go I got the lamb and spring onion dumplings, and he got a noodle dish. Everything was absolutely delicious. Total came to $74, which, for 5 dishes and tip is pretty good. You order via a QR code on your phone, but the waiters are very nice and accommodating. I will certainly be going back. My only complaint: since their name is Boston SOUP DUMPLINGS, they should offer a wider variety of soup dumplings than they do (they only offer 2). Oh, and definitely not vegetarian friendly.

Honestly few things make me happier than some soupy dumps and some spicy noods. They have both here and I will come again.

Excellent soup dumplings, perfect for a blisteringly cold night! We tried to get into Mountain House and was quoted a 1.5 hour wait; walked a few steps over to BSD and only had to wait 10 minutes. Just a note - we came at around 7pm and the place was jam-packed with people waiting by the door. By 7:30, we were only a few tables left after the dinner bum-rush had cleared. So next time I'm in the mood for dumplings, I'd definitely come near the later end. Service was quick but friendly. You order by scanning a QR code. I liked how you can modify the spice level of every dish and request, for instance, no scallions or extra. Everything comes out to the table freshly prepared. We ordered: 1. Crunchy garlic cucumbers: This made my breath stink to high heaven for the rest of the night but for anyone who loves garlic, this is for you. 2. Wood ear mushrooms: I love the texture of wood-ear but the sauce they were doused in was a bit too vinegary and spicy. One of the few dishes we didn't lick clean. 3. The Wuhan dry-heat noodles and the Beijing soy bean noodles. Loved both of these, would definitely get again. The Beijing noodles had a great nutty dark sauce on the bottom, but the bowl was a little too small for mixing. 4. The pork and crab/pork dumplings. Not the best iterations I've consumed but pretty good. The wrapper was a little thick for my taste but the broth was very tasty and it was nicely structured so you could eat it without scalding your tongue. Also, for anyone looking for solo dining, there's a row of stools along the window where you can slurp your dumplings in piece. PARKING: Street parking impossible along this stretch but if you head down one street to Commonwealth, there is metered parking that's free after 6pm on Saturdays.

Absolutely loved the food here! Would get the beef noodle soup, Shanghai wonton soup , and pork soup dumplings again and again. We also had the dry noodle with pork which was flavorful and good but preferred the taste of the other dishes. Can't wait to try the duck noodle soup next time!

The location is very casual, however the server was wonderful, she didn't hover over you but would grab what you needed before you could think to ask. The food was absolutely amazing! So delicious, we will be back again!
