A true gem. This hole-in-wall resto has a rotating menu, enormous portions, fair prices. If you're ever in the Fields Corner area, head to the Geneva St. busway, you can't miss it.

If a no star were a selection, I'd pick it. Ana is usually in the rear kitchen cooking. Ana is quite unpleasant and an unprofessional person. She thinks the world owes her for some unknown reason. Ana is rude, unable to carry a two-way conversation, and has no business dealing with anyone needing customer service. I have been at this locale on about three occasions. In Boston, there isn't many options for Cabo Verdianos looking to get their cuisine outside of their home. I want to thank Ana for showing me her true "colors;" by serving me with her true an authentic self about three months ago. I recounted my experience with Ana to some friends and none of them were surprised by her behavior. I chose to move on from the encounter and decided not to patronage her establishment. Months after, I decided to write about the experience to help Yelp users in finding places that are worthy of their hard earned money. By the way, the beans at this place has a bad after taste that is hard to figured out. It may be on the added ingredients that should be left out. Additionally, they cook the same food every single day. They have rice, beans, mixture of seafood that looks better than it taste (don't think it is good because you see a piece of lobster), pastels, burnt torresma, dried out beef Pattie's, fried fish, etc. Lastly, Ana used to have a similar business on Hancock that was rumored to have been closed due to some Inspectional Service issues. I suspect this location will befall in a similar situation, unless she learned that the licensing process is quite elementary.

This food is Absolutely Fantastic! So flavorful, purely authentic, and super quick! I visited twice during my trip to Boston. They’re friendly once they warm up to you, but in their own way, so don’t go in expecting bubbly personalities and smiles from ear to ear. They’re simply authentic people who don’t fake a smile. Everything is good (I’ve tried the mussels, ribs, chicken, and steak dishes so far - with rice and veggies). The ribs were a bit dry, but it was likely an off day. Either way they were packed with flavor. This is a great spot to visit, and the neighborhood locals seem to come here often from what I’ve seen.

Food was amazing & great portion for the price. Will definitely be back. Got the lobster & shrimp and paella. Maybe could use a little more spice, but I’m also not used to the cuisine. Appreciate that they had some pescatarian options, some vegetarian ones would have been nice.

Love this place and the food.Quick fyi though..to avoid any legal repercussions, I advise them to do better on their size portions of the chicken. The pieces are way to big..and there where bones everywhere breaking it apart. I almost swallowed one. Not good. Also, customer service could be a little better.
