Sat n stools, by kitchen to watch the magic happen. Love coming here. Small restaurant, suggest reservations, or get there when they open. Same Chef and kitchen staff, and our waitress have been there forever.Linguine with seafood combination choices, 4 sauces, boulonase delicious, all other menu items look wonderful as we watched them go out. Our ceasar salad was so fresh and properly dressed.Wine list with solid choices, good price points.

We made a last minute attempt to get a table and were told on the phone that they would do the best to accommodate us at 830 which they did. We were lucky to get the only available table at the time. The food and service were outstanding. We shared an argula salad which was enough for 2. The linguine seafood scampi had lots of seafood and sauce was light and flavorful. My husband liked the spiciness of his fra diavlo pasta. This was our first time there and now know to reserve ahead! We'll be back.

I love the tiramisu at this place, but the hospitality can significantly improve. I amNot talking about the servers (who have always been lovely) but about management/owner who seems to also be the front door host. Here it goes. I called to make reservations and asked for a table for 4 at 6pm. The owner asked if we can come at 6:30 instead. I said “No”. He insisted that we should come at 6:30. What kind of hospitality is that? I don’t make my schedule based on the restaurant’s schedule. I said we can go somewhere else if they can’t reserve a table for 6pm. He then told me that a table will be available at 6pm. Was it? No. We were seated at 6:30pm. So, I won’t bother to come again. Plenty of restaurants in the area.Did he apologize for the delay? No.Did he offer us a glass of water while we waited? No.Instead he treated us as if we worked there, or worse. While we waited he told us to line up behind him: between him and the wall, in a space of 1.5 feet, so we don’t sit too close to other tables. Indeed, he told 3 grown women to sit between him and the wall, as if it was our decision to jam-pack the space with tables and leave absolutely no space for anyone waiting to be seated. We told him we’ll wait in the entryway (another 2 by 4 foot space). On our way out, he instructed us to make sure whoever comes in the front door knows to close that door before opening the next one. At a $$$ restaurant the owner asked us to take care of the doorman’s duties (which were his) not ours. The table service was ok, and the food was ok (we had fish and grilled vegetables; pasta and shrimp; pasta and broccoli). But for the abysmal hospitality the price of $60/person (entree + one drink + tip) is not worth it.If this was my restaurant, I would take out a few tables to make space for waiting guests and hire a hostess who enjoys this role and is good at it.

What a wonderful restaurant nestled in a lovely community. Host was great at accommodating our last minute reservation and then when arriving early got us seated early at the bar. Had a wonderful waitress that greeted us quickly and brought us our wine right away. Our seating location had us looking right at the open food prep area which was great entertainment. The head chef engaged with us about our dishes that we ordered. We both had the swordfish special that was served two ways, we had one of each between both of us and shared it. We couldn’t decide which way we liked better. Dessert was also phenomenal. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer dinner in Roslindale.

I've been here many times and have consistently experienced great service and food. It's a small, cozy place. Many dishes are large enough to share; the wine list is solid. Tonight, I shared the special; a veal shop stuffed with prosciutto and fontina cheese nestled in a demi glace with mushrooms.Shout out to Katie, our server, tonight.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Service, food and atmosphere deserve 10 stars! Pork chop special, frutti di mare, duck, and chicken parm all fantastic! Dinner salads were huge and so fresh. Calamari app was best I had in years! No need to go to the North End. Easy drive from any of the southern parts of Boston and the suburbs. Service is so good that you never have to ask for more water or wine...it just appears silently and before you need to ask. Food is prepared quickly to perfection! Definitely need reservations because the place is small and very popular. They always seat us immediately so it is a very well run establishment. Probably one of the best hidden gems in Boston!Dietary restrictions: No problem for peanut allergyParking: Easy to park for free at commuter rail station at night!
