I've passed this place a bunch of times in their old downtown location and I was always curious. I finally had the opportunity to come in today (to their new place at 92 Bedford street) and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a meat combo plate with lamb curry, mater paneer, naan bread, rice and a vegetable samosa and all were excellent! The samosa in particular I liked, it didn't taste frozen or old like they sometimes do. The lamb was tender and flavorful. The mater paneer was a little soupy but was still good and made a nice gravy for the rice. There aren't many options for Indian food in downtown so it's very nice to have this place to go to. I will definitely come back!

Edit: The owners got back to me. They were having a family emergency. I'll update this when I go get food from them again.Never got my food - I guess they are closed on Tuesdays but their website will happily let you place an order, hours in advance, confirm a delivery time and then cancel the order when the driver shows up because the restaurant is closed and then you get to sit there for a hour with no food and nobody to call and a massive charge on your credit card. Ayyayyayyayyayy.... one day I hope to actually taste the food here.

The staff is friendly and the food tastes good. Nice place if you want to have a quick lunch, not a great place for parties.

Its been more than a month for me in the US in Chicago and was visiting Boston for a couple of days. Was craving for Indian veg food. Most of the times Indian food is expensive in the US but D’guru was totally worth it.Their food was great. I paid 15$ for a thali which included rice, chapati/naan(kulcha), 2 veggies/curries. They provide complementary chutneys. Their green chutney is far better than fine Indian restaurants here. Their quantity is such that even 2 people can share a thali. Also tried their aloo samosa and pakora, mango lassi. Their pakora was okayish but samosa and mango lassi was so far the best one in the US.People running this place are also very nice.Vegetarian options: Indian veg food is amazing

I really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala I ordered from D'Guru a couple months ago. The price was very fair. The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. Today I went back to try Lamb Vindaloo. It's also delicious, and the service was as friendly as ever. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Super reliable Indian place. Good food and nice staff. The new location is way nicer than the old one--much more spacious with better temperature control.

Such a good place for lunch! I got the butter chicken with saag that came with two plain naans. I also ordered one vegetable pakora which was AMAZING. For $1.50? It was so worth it. My whole lunch only costed about $15 lol if you ever had Indian food, it can get pretty pricey. But for their lunch menu here, it's so affordable. Highly recommend getting it for lunch if you're in the area!

I haven’t had so nice chapati anywhere is mass so far. The food reminded me of indian college canteens. The quality and quantity both will meet your expectations. It is somewhat similar to box8 if you know what box8 is. They serve three combos everyday for lunch. 1) Veg combo , 2) Meat combo and 3) sea food combo. They also serves Indian condiments on the side, like pickles/tamarind chutney/ pudina chutney. You get to choose what you want.Their menu changes every day. I tried palak paneer, dal makhni and both felt like home made sabjis.Overall pretty good place for a quick lunch if you are in downtown boston.I won’t recommend biryani as it’s not a DUM biryani. Also, for biryani some better options are available in downtown Boston.

A very good and authentic South Indian curry restaurant. Their non veg is better than their veg.

One of my favorites for mutton biryani. Be aware with the spice but otherwise a must try place for biryani lovers. Taste is very good. great quantity for the price offered and they are ok with the service, I visited this place once and would definitely visit it again. If you think you can not tolerate spice then ask for extra yogurt and this will help.
