I love this spot!! Such an underwhelming location with truly some of the best Viet food in Boston. I've been sleeping on this spot for so long, but my sister has been telling me about Dot Cafe and I finally made some time. This spot offers affordable and quick Vietnamese food and American breakfast. I actually only came for the Bánh Bột Chiên, Vietnamese fried rice flour cakes, but then I saw that they had Mì Quảng (it's new!!). It's a noodle dish from Central Vietnam that uses wide flat tumeric noodles, and the broth is a mix of pork and shrimp flavors. It was a little sweet, rich in flavor, and the pork was soooo tender. Not any, if very little places make this dish. My Sister's Crawfish used to make the best dry version of these noodles, but they sort of rebranded + relocated and don't have it anymore SO if you want some Mì Quảng, go to Dot Cafe!!!!

Solid food at a very reasonable price but the shop is in distinct disrepair and the service is pretty slow, if it was just one or the other I wouldn't mind much for a counter service place but having to wait around in a derelict shop is unpleasant. Good chicken bahn mi!
Best chicken teriyaki I ever had! Food was delivered still piping hot and flavorful. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also excellent. Prices are reasonable. My first time but not my last!

No frills breakfast joint, but it's tasty and cheap. A basic breakfast (eggs bacon homefries toast) was $8. The decor is forlorn, obviously shabby -- supposedly, the resto will be renovated in 2023. Imagine the prices will go up also.Vietnamese patrons order things 'off menu' -- it's one of those places. At restos in this neighborhood, staff is almost invariably younger Asian-Americans who speak perfect English; don't be intimidated nor shy, they can explain anything to you.No hipsters; old skool.

I walked into this joint, not thinking much of it. There were people yelling outside and the inside was empty. I ordered a Taro Milk Tea, which was surprisingly one of the best I've ever had. I finished it in 2 minutes.I also got the chicken teriyaki with rice and vegetables, just hoping to fill my stomach after not eating all day. I was absolutely flabbergasted, the chicken teriyaki was truly delicious, and it stayed the delicious the entire time I had it. What a serendipitous eating experience.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Dorchester. Their chicken Teriyaki is so good. I couldn't stop eating it even tho I was full. The chicken is spicy and the rice comes with it, it was perfect. The Vietnamese coffee hit different here. They are very busy so you need to call and order ahead. Definitely recommend!!

Ok so it IS a bit of a "hole in the wall" but if you get past that, you're in for a really good breakfast at midwest prices! Came here because our favorite little spot to walk with our grandson for breakfast when we visit from Chicago closed. I had the best French toast I've ever eaten! I don't know what's in the batter but wow! My grandson had pancakes that were perfection and the coffee was top notch.

First of all. They have the best iced coffee EVER!! So one day I decided to try and breakfast sandwich, which was good, the next I tried the lunch . Spicy teriyaki chicken and white rice! Omg. My new fav place. And the guy whose always are the register weekdays . Super awesome , friendly! I love this place

Customer service needs to be improved because they don’t answer the phone. I watched the guy behind the desk sit down as someone was calling in on the work phone and just listened to it ring.
