We are at FlBat baby on a recent Saturday night The sushi was excellent as was the service . We had the dragon roll, tuna rice cakes and the shrimp noodles The 8 piece dragon roll was very good, with just right crunch for the tempura shrimp. My favorite was the tuna rice cakes. These bite sized pieces had a layer of tuna that melted in your mouth, along with the perfect tasting cakes which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only disappointment was the shrimp noodle dish. Although tasty, this shrimp in this dish were a bit tough. The noise level was too much for us but I would return on a different day.

Sat at the bar and had a Flat tire beer and had a slice of pizza and my husband had the meatball appetizer so good—Stoli was the bartender great conversation and loves what he does!

This happened in August but probably the worst dining experience i’ve ever had. Party of 2 was sat at a table, someone came by and filled our waters then was ignored for 20 minutes. Our server, Siobhan K, comes with an attitude from the very beginning. We give our entire order, then are ignored again. We ask the host if it would be okay to move to the bar since they seemed to be getting more attention and nothing was on our tables except our (now empty) water cups. The host asks and says that’s okay and we move 5 feet over to the bar. We brought over everything ourselves. I see the host go inform the server who is on her phone. Here is when the server very angrily comes up to us and is fighting us asking why we moved. She leaves and comes back with the check. The check is dropped before we even got our food! She very clearly told the bartender about us because he was then avoiding eye contact. No one comes up to us the rest of the night until we put our cards down. Not to refill any of our long since empty waters, not to ask how the food is. The food was decent but the attitudes of the employees made us feel extremely nervous and unwelcome the entire meal. Also wasn’t too happy with the concept of pictures of babies being plastered all over the bathroom ceiling. Overall left a very bad taste in my mouth.

The food is always incredible and the service is always questionable, but that's just Southie. Fat Baby would be my death row meal, everything is incredible. Scallion pancakes with the edamame dip- I dream about. Great vegetarian options!

I love Fat Baby everytime I come the food never disappoints, which is why I go back so often. Everything was perfect as usual and we went on a Saturday evening so you couldn't hear across the table because the bar is usually packed by then. My only recommendation would be to not go on a first date there because the noise level but it's only like that on Friday and Saturday nights!

got the Maki Monday deal, ayce maki rolls for ~$32. El Diablo was my favorite, very inventive flavor combo. not the BEST sushi I've ever had, but honestly much much better quality than I'd typically expect from all-you-can-eat in this price range.

Some of the spiciest bits of orange chicken I’ve ever had for no reason opposed to their obscure menu choices.

Creative, delicious sushi. Special roll with lobster, crab and seaweed salad was a favorite. Attentive and friendly server. Lively patrons, some may call them loud, around the bar. (A loud bar in Southie? Imagine that!) Make a reservation...it was packed on a Thursday. I'd go again.
