Was so excited to come here and eat some amazing Italian food! It was average at best. I would not recommend and seafood dish unfortunately. The portions were small which was nice and they did have fresh made bread. Overall the service was 10/10 bit I would not go back for the food

Food was simply terrible. I had the gnocchi bolognese. Honestly, it tasted JUST LIKE Chef Boyardee Beefaroni, but with less meat. The bread tasted like day old grocery store Italian bread. My husband had the Calamari Pirata, which he described as flavorless. We should have known it would be bad when they were the only place near the TD Center with open reservations, but we would have been better off eating at the venue. The server may have been the only person working there besides the guy at the door and the surly girl who was seating people. He ignored us for long periods of time, kept telling us the food was "coming" and "the order is in", but it still took nearly an hour. It took forever to get drinks and then we couldn't get a refill. Don't even get me started on the ladies' room. Choices were made. They were not good choices. I'm not a big person, but my shoulder was hitting the door of the stall. I chose the cleanest stall, which was still grosser than my teenage boy's bathroom. We decided to take our chances at the TD Center for our next bathroom stop because it couldn't possibly be worse.

This place was great- excellent food, ambiance was perfect, and surprisingly fabulous dinner given the mixed reviews of late. The portions were huge, the food was flavorful and delicious, tasted homemade. We had a lovely experience-Will def return!!

Everything was quite good. The place is very well located. The waiter (Cristiano) was very nice as always. The food was quite good. The only thing that could be improved was the dessert (tiramisu). We found the price to be normal for an Italian restaurant in Boston, although a little above average.
This was our second time to Filippo, and after having a great experience the first time, we had hoped for the same, but the waiter was trying to rush us, the wine was forgettable and the food was only average. We won't return.

Filippo is consistently good! The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is Pre-Garden Event Fun, with a lot of nods to Old Boston and Old Italy. The expansive function space upstairs has a private bar, a beautiful bay of windows and eclectic murals and decor. The menu includes weekly specials and classic favorites. A great place.

After paying the bill with my debit and leaving the tip in cash, my bank statement showed an extra 20%taken out for the tip. I called the restaurant and they acted like it was no big deal. REALLY? BEWARE!
