Ordered delivery, so not subtracting anything for quality affected over time! We got the lamb cumin dry noodles, the hot and sour lamb noodle soup, the pork sandwich and the Xian cold noodles. I definitely think this place is one where you should eat there, especially the hand pulled noodles because they harden over time and soak up sauce a bit unevenly if they sit. Also, the soup came mixed in so the noodles were a bit soggy, I wish they did separate those two for takeout. Overall taste was alright, the dry lamb cumin noodles were a bit sour for my taste and the cold noodles were bland to me, but the main reason for the 3 stars was because the pork sandwich had metal strands in the pork unfortunately don't think we will be returning.

Had the lamb pulled noodle soup #2, pork sandwich, and lamb stew #7. Overall I thought the lamb stew was more unique and tastier than the lamb noodle dish. In addition, to compare to Xi'an famous foods (popular NYC chain), I actually like the pork sandwich here better, it was more meaty and the meat is leaner as well. Pretty much the essence of a Chinatown good eats, don't come here for atmosphere come here for good regional food.

One of the most often-recommended restaurants in Boston. It was everything I expected and more. The Hot and Sour Dumpling Soup (#10) was so good(!), and the lamb skewers and tea egg were great too. Inexpensive and delicious. The dining room is tiny, but I had plenty of room to eat on my visit. Knowing the walk-in cash policy, I ordered online and picked it up. Convenient and fresh.

Incredible hand pulled noodles. You can get it super spicy but also flavorful. Lamb kebab was top tier, overall highly
I got the cumin lamb hand-pulled noodles. The noodles are quite thick and wide, and stuck together which made eating difficult. I would've preferred all of the ingredients pre-tossed, because mixing the stuck-together noodles with the sauce, lamb, and veggies was nearly impossible without flinging food over the side of the bowl. The lamb skewers were OK -- could have been more tender and with less mostly-fat chunks.

Been coming to this unique spot every time we get to Boston. Really delicious homemade noodles done with lamb in cumin spiced bowl. Absolutely amazing fragrant- could dream about meal like this. But, if you're looking for atmosphere, the downtown location is a tiny "hole in the wall". The Woburn location slightly bigger, but both are excellent. The surroundings don't matter much to me when the highlight is this quality of food

I stopped by here for a quick breakfast since I was in a hurry. The service was fast, and the food tasted good, easily a solid 4 out of 5. I also wanted to try the sour dumplings (#11) but I'll save that for next time.

They served our dine-in order in a takeout container lid. Half the restaurant is inexplicably blocked off so seating is very limited. The food is ok.

Hot sour soup with pork dumplings was good (not amazing but good). Generous portion of dumpling.
