It was a bit of a wait, but completely worth it. Great energy and delicious food. The staff are hardworking people and very friendly. Chicken parm was great but the bruschetta was the best I’ve tasted. Great area too!

I visited Gigi (formerly Casa Giacomo) twice over Boston Marathon weekend for dinner and had delightful experiences. The food was excellent and the atmosphere pleasant. I'd like to commend the staff - particularly Cameron and Christopher - who made my visits memorable. They personify kindness, warmth, and a generosity of spirit. I'll be back during my next Boston visit!

I visited this place 4 years ago and the food was delicious, and now with the new ownership its delightful! I've been all over wine country in Italy and their Italian wine selection was diverse from many regions. We sat at the bar and our bartender was pleasant and enjoyable to watch him make drinks ?. I would return to try other dishes.

Owners of Kava Taverna & Ilona took over the old Giacomos, gave it a much needed facelift with cozy modern vibes & a great menu! Share a number of plates between friends.

Giacomo's is a historical family-owned restaurant, was there for decades. Their food is exceptional, Lobter ravioli or any dish with Giacomo sauce!!!, they accept cash only, as many other bakeries and restaurants in north end- be aware :)

Delicious! Great food and great portions for the price. The atmosphere was intimate but not pretentious and the service was good. I'm a tad picky about pasta, having an Italian grandma who was a great cook, but the penne amatriciana passed the test. I also appreciated that they have handmade pasta and better-than-average bread.

Overwhelming amount of Italian eatiers in the north end. Decided to just pick a spot. Waited in line for about 10 mins, seated smack dab in middle of tiny dining room. Waited on almost instantly, even though the placed was super busy. Brought out a bread basket, 3 slices of bread for 2 people, no butter. Ordered a glass of prosecco, delicious! Ordered the special, 1/2 lobster, mussels and clams over linguine with choice of sauce. Went with Fra diablo, heaven! Food was fantastic, but very messy! Would definantly recommend!

I should have known better than to take my Italian girlfriends to an Italian restaurant in Little Italy. They're all excellent cooks and I can tell you this is not an Italian restaurant. We boarded wine and we asked the waitress for a glass of dry Chardonnay she told us she doesn't drink wine and she doesn't really know which other wines are dry The calamari was dry and peppers in it. One friend ordered ziti and meatballs marinara meatballs were hard the Ziti was not ziti it's mostaccioli when confronting the waitress she said that said no it's mostacholi she said oh well I'm Italian but I didn't know the difference. The olive oil is bland the way just said they only had a little bit of Parmesan cheese left in the restaurant. None was so the table. Another friend had Ziti with shrimp scallops broccoli in a scampi style very bland served again with mostaccioli not ziti Eggplant parmesan was good not amazing. When we first arrived they asked a couple to move out of a table of four while they were eating for we could sit down . Embarrassing for both of us.

Came in this past Saturday for dinner. We came in at 5:30. They open at 5 so it wasn't crowded yet. I don't believe they take reservations or at least that we could find. We were seated at a great seat by the window. They bring out bread to start. We ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the special goat cheese gnocchi. The gnocchi isn't on the menu, so ask about it if you want it! The food came out quickly. The sauce in the ravioli was AMAZING! A creamy mascarpone sauce. Too good. The goat cheese gnocchi was also delicious. It came in a red sauce with chicken and veggies. I wish I came with a creamier sauce, but it was still amazing. The goat cheese gnocchi themselves were amazing! Overall a great meal. I've just heard to be wary of the wait times!

Came here for a birthday dinner and I loved the vibe, atmosphere felt pretty authentic. I loved the lobster sauce pasta with salmon that I ordered, but some of my friends dishes weren't as good than mine.

Great little Italian spot; prices and portions are very fair, as well. The staff are very nice and friendly, and as of April, 2022 they have started to accept both credit card and reservations. I'm not really sure about the reservation process, but it looks like they take calls...

Cash only place, venmo. They're very busy, but moves through pretty quick. Large portions and great sauces!!

If I could eat one pasta dish for the rest of my life, I think Giacomo's lobster, clam, scallop linguini would be it. I came here last weekend while family friends were in town. They were avid fans of Giacomo's in north end, and said this is the only Italian restaurant they go to in Boston. We went to the south end location, which was not that busy when we walked in around 5, but turned very lively around 6 for dinner rezzys. The service was phenomenal -- from the waiters and servers to the managerial staff -- and I would come back in a heartbeat. Would highly recommend the pasta special for two (it can actually feed 3-4), the calamari, chocolate ice cream, and tiramisu.
