To all that might be thinking about ordering from Golden Chef restaurant I caution you for this reason if you are having it delivered via door dash and you don't select utincles, condiments, napkins or chopsticks ? you won't get anything other than your food so they don't waste money. Taste 1- 10 only because the order was correct. No flavor and it wasn't even hot ?. DO BETTER! Nothing tasted good!!

My family ordered 3 meals takeout. We were surprised at just how much food there was, the portions are huge. We love asian food and we were quite happy with our food. The mu sho was delicious. I don't understand the bad reviews, we thought it was great.

After moving to Roxbury, I struggled to find a local Chinese food place that had great fried rice, as they were all plain or not great tasting. Along came Golden Chef's flyer in my mailbox and it all changed for the better.Chinese food is my guilty pleasure, and I order it almost on a weekly basis. I have been ordering delivery from Golden Chef for about 3 years now. So much so that their driver will wonder what's going on if I go too long without ordering. (no shame)In any case, they've recently decided to switch to doordash delivery only, and not having their own delivery option. Not only does this remove their free menu options, but the extra cost tacked on the food, and the ridiculous delivery fees they charge increase the costs by over 50%, which is unjustifiable.I will continue to get food here once in a while when I have the time to pick up the food as I enjoy it so much, but it won't be anywhere near as often, and I may just go back to picking stuff up in Chinatown which was excellent, but much less convenient.

I ordered the General Gso Chicken lunch combo with vegetable lo mein. I was very disappointed in how bland and old the food tasted along with how raw the broccoli was. Also, the duck sauce had an eye lash floating around in the sauce. This was by far the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tasted.

This is the only take out Chinese I order! Service is amazing - delivery is efficient and I'm always greeted with a huge smile. They also offer free items with your purchase and sometimes I think they throw in extra things too! The food is fresh and tasty. I love you guys !

I've been ordering here for 3 years. Today, we were missing an order of beef teriyaki and gyoza. This woman straight up accused me of lying about it. NEVER AGAIN.
Pleasantly surprised at how good this Chinese takeout is. The pineapple fried rice was so good and the scallion pancakes were delicious. Definitely my new go-to takeout place in Dot.

terrible food soggy shirmp unseasoned and not spicy and the lady on the phone is very rude !!!! they hung up on me the first time then the second time they put the phone down and walked away , so i had to call on a different phone to demand my refund .

Great food and with combination plates on the menu which I always appreciate. The orange chicken was crispy and so delicious, and the dumplings had great flavor as well. Lo mein and Chinese chicken tenders were also excellent. Despite just one time ordering so far, compared to restaurants with similar menus, I feel like this one is among the best.
