I had the smoky hot shredded beef and it was killer. Wicked goodness. Enough heat to get you glowing. Yes, the place is kinda pricey, but considering what the kitchen is thrown down. Absolutely worth it. I also had the Singapore rice noodle and it was quite good.I will be back to sample what other delights I can find on the menu.

Had a terrible experience here highly do not recommend. They had no customer service we had to keep waving people down to place our order and get refills. When they did take the time to tend to us they were extremely rude. Once we tried to leave they were quick on demanding a higher tip then we left them even though they didn’t deserve anything at all. There are better restaurants look somewhere else!!

Bad service it took 15 minutes to get our order taken. Had to flag them down multiple times and still didn't get service. But they had no problem all coming to the table to demand what tip they expect more than a $20 tip for horrible service. Beware!

Terrible service. We were seated pretty quickly But that's where the good service ends. It was a while before anyone came to take our order. We had to constantly waive them down for service and still get ignored. Even while the restaurant was not at it's busiest. The food was okay but very overpriced. At time to pay since we were leaving a tip with cash all the waitresses who were to busy to assist us came to ganged up on us. Demanding a larger tip that they did not deserve. They snatched the receipt from us I'll have to monitor it to make sure they don't try to steal an additional amount.

We had the the steam shrimps dumplings, cilantro beef and the crispy Szechwan chicken both were spicy and Delicious. Low key seating and services were ok and fast. The Crab in the water tank and a few shrimps were did and so as one of the fish on the other tank and that put me off a bit. Prices of the main dishes ranged between $17-$25.

The vegetable dumpling is to die for. 8 pieces of perfection. I also liked the dipping sauce, which had crushed ginger as opposed to thin slices.

food was pretty good with big portions but customer service was terrible. no service unless you stop somebody and ask for something, and then nobody comes to check up on you. takes a long time to get stuff even after asking for it. we could deal with this but the worst part is that they would not let us leave without an 18% tip. originally tipped 10% because service sucked and she came back as we were leaving and rudely forced us to tip at least 18%. wouldn't let us leave until we did. i will never go back even though the food was good, it's not worth it.

Good food! I wish I could give it a 4.5 stars but I’m rounding up to be nice. Highlights are the soup dumplings and beef wrapped in scallion pancakes!

If it had not been for the younger gentleman running the cash register I can see the complaints about the customer service but he went above and beyond and made sure they helped for my elderly moms to go order that I was trying to do in person through the phone. I ordered chicken with mushrooms, added broccoli and snow peas. Did not realize it didn’t come with rice and he gave it to me on the house because I only had a credit card and the credit card minimum is $5. I had already paid for the meal. The manager/owner wasn’t happy. I will be going back tomorrow to eat, if I have time on my way to the airport, or to drop off $2 for the rice. Food was amazing. Chicken was so soft, great flavor, huge portions. It actually fed myself and my mom for dinner. We also ordered hot and sour soup and it was the best one we both have ever had. Egg rolls were great! For reference, before COVID, I traveled a lot, around 50% of the year for the last 12 years all over the world. 60% of the time in the US and 40% of the time around the world. I love flavor, textures don’t bother me, I love trying new things and I love 98% of all food. I don’t care if it’s from a food truck, stand, or from a Michelin star restaurant. If you’re food is good it’s good. If it’s bad it’s bad. What I ordered was great!

Food is only so so, but way over priced compared to others. It costs $120 for four ordinary dishes including vegetables dishes, will not go there again

Bad experience. You r not gonna leave if you not pay 18% tip. Forced us to pay higher tip in a very rude way. I'll never come back again.

I am a very picky eater and I usually decline people who want to go to restaurants I have not been to. However, Gourmet Chinese House exceeded my expectations and hesitation. The food was so fresh and well put together. I am literally watering at the mouth writing this review and now want to head back into the city from Worcester. It's that good!! Go and enjoy if you are in the city!!

I had high expectations for this place. Ultimately it was disappointing! Service: The server kept running away while I was talking to her. The only time she wanted to talk to me was when she wanted more tip. I always thought gratuity was optional for above service and not mandatory for just taking my order. ‍ Food: Understandably they are watching margins and stretching their dollar here. The dough to meat ratio on all items we ordered could be at least a third less. And if so, would that mean everything would become mini (i.e. mini dumplings), and so their prices?
