Right in City Hall plaza, this place is always pretty packed during weekday lunches. Offering a pretty wide variety of cuisine including burgers and hot dogs, tacos, pizza, and sandwiches. It's all pretty basic staple and of decent quality and price. It's certainly more for the selection of items, that seeking anything gourmet, but it's a solid choice for a quick and affordable on the run lunch.

Great breakfast sandwich! Nothing fancy; bagel, eggs, bacon or ham and cheese. While you can get that from most places, Great Taste's is delicious.

I stopped by here for lunch and ordered a meatball sub. It took a really long time to make the sub and I was the only one waiting in line. The sub was terrible, the bread was soggy, the sauce was terrible. I would never go here again. Lacked customer service and the food was terrible, much better off to hit Als if you are looking for a sub and quick friendly service.

I came here for lunch and I ordered a Turkey, avocado, tomato, basil, mozzarella panini and I was REALLY DISAPPOINTED! It wasn't even pressed, and the bread had NO crunch. It was so saugy almost as if it was made from the night before. I will NEVER COME TO THIS Place AGAIN, nor would I ever recommend anyone to come to this place for lunch. It's disgusting. The only thing that was good was my orange soda by Fanta.

Chicken taco salad was really good. They have a lot of options on the menu. It's good for a quick bite to eat. I also ordered the green plantains and gauc which was just ehh. The plantains were oily and the guacamole was just diced avocado. Over all I would come back for the taco salad.

Mini getaway for the weekend and my boyfriend and I stopped by Chinatown for our last meal before we headed back to Philly. Keep in mind, this place is pretty small so the waiters and waitresses will be running around trying their best to accommodate everyone. In my opinion, they did a great job. I noticed they don't really have a seating system. They don't take names or any number for your party. Once a table is free, they will ask the guests if there is a party of 4 or 2 and if you are lucky, you will be seated right away. As for us, we waited about 5-10 minutes before we got seated. Placed our order and got our dishes within 10 minutes. Food is great! Some are better than others but that's the beauty of trying different dishes. My favorite was the crispy radish cake with XO sauce - one of their special dish. The bun with yellow custard inside is also a great pick. And lastly, the pork dumpling, otherwise known as Siu Mai. That's just a few of my favorites. They also have a bakery next door and I picked up two egg tarts to-go. Delicious.

Nothing fancy here including the food. They used to have decent gourmet pizzas including buffalo and BBQ chicken but now only seem to have cheese and occasionally pepperoni pizza. The tacos are 'good' but not great. They have ice cream and this is a good place to get away from the outside and have a quick snack.

Stepped in here after searching yelp for Asian bakeries and finding a picture of their custard tapioca pearl tarts. It looks so appetizing and different that I just had to try it so I literally came in just to order that lol. The restaurant is attached to a bakery that sells egg tarts and all the typical item of an Asian bakery. You can access this bakery from inside the restaurant which is pretty cool. Three pieces costs $2.75 and for the size, that's more than worth it. They come hot and steaming in one of those steam pots if you order to stay in. I ordered to go so it came in a styrofoam box. It took btwn 5-10mins for me to get my order. Not bad. The tarts tasted a lot different than what I expected. They were nice and sweet but when I read "custard", I was expecting something gooey? The custard had the consistency of a hard-boiled egg yolk and kinda had hints of egg in it too. Definitely wasn't a typical custard taste, that's for sure. The outside pearls tasted like any other tapioca pearls. Less sweet than the ones in bubble tea because these aren't soaked like those. In the end, I'm glad I tried these. They made a nice, filling midday snack and I suggest you try them, too.

Definitely my favorite dim sum place in Boston. Fair warning, though, they don't serve the dim sum in carts, so you'll have to go elsewhere if you want that experience. However, I think the food quality and service here beats out all the other dim sum shops. You order your food on a slip of paper, and the servers bring it out to you. Their menu is pretty comprehensive, and prices are very reasonable. There's often a line (unless you come at ridiculously early in the morning), so be prepared to wait a bit. Also, if you have time, I'd recommend checking out the bakery and getting one of their custard buns! Definitely both my and my husband's favorite bun in all of Boston Chinatown! The best is when you can eat it as soon as you get it (aka warm from the oven) - the custard is nicely creamy without being overly thick or sweet, and bread is soft and fluffy. Best of all, they cost only a dollar each. Only thing that sucks is that they always run out towards the end of the day (which I think is a testament to how tasty they are!).

First time in Boston and wanted to check out Chinatown. Picked this place because there's a thing about cozy hole in the walls that i prefer over fancy chinese restaurants. My two kids and I stopped by when it was busy. I don't mind waiting for good food so we patiently stood there for about 30 min until a table was available. They seated us in a corner which barely gave us room to move. Which I was ok with. Then took them awhile to bring the food out. Again, I was fine with. Didn't complain because at these type of establishments, you don't expect good service. The only service we really got was getting seated after waiting for 30 min and bringing us food. We ordered the usual dim sum. Har gow, shumai, shrimp rice rolls, steamed bbq pork buns and sticky rice in lotus leaves then tried some other things such as crispy shrimp rolls, fried crab seaweed rolls, and egg custard rolls. The food was delicious. Asked for the bill and paid in cash. And got up to leave happily satisfied...until the waitress hustled for more tip. The bill was $37. I left them $40. Yes it wasn't a lot of tip because i felt that was what they deserved. But she said minimal 15% tip which wasn't documented anywhere. So left her in additional $3. Left the place feeling a bit sour since I will not be coming back over a few bucks in change. Gave them 3 stars for good quality food at a reasonable price. But be prepared to tip well for bad service.
