I have never felt so uncomfortable or disrespected by a restaurant ever. It started off as a nice dinning experience but the waitress towards the end left a bad taste in my mouth. We finished paying & normally I like to tip with cash so I left a 0 for the tip on the receipt. Upon waiting for our waiter to give him the cash tip a woman comes over to pick up the signed copy of the receipts. She points to the 0 & says “you can’t do that, you have to tip we not allow that here we make it cheap already, you need to put the tip” while shaking her head aggressively. I was appalled because she never asked us if the tip was going to be cash & assumed we were not going to tip. She waits there making a fuss demanding that we tip, I had intentions to already tip but as a restaurant why are you demanding a tip for a party of 3 in an all you can eat restaurant. We saw our waiter probably twice at most & we got up to get & cook the food at our table. It just wasn’t right how she came up to us as if our kind dosent leave tip, not even realizing we were not done eating & were going to leave a cash tip. She came so abruptly & it was quite embarrassing, she was shaming us for something she had no idea about. I like this place a lot but this was very rude of her to place such an assumption when everyone else was left nicely.

If i could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. Our waitress brought incorrect amount of drinks. Also, we waited over a half hour to order another set of beef. The buffet style section was insanely busy (15 min line) and most of the time the bins of food were empty. We had a horrible experience and decided to leave no tip. the waitress CHASED us out of the restaurant to ask for a tip. I’m a server lol and this is the WORST experience and waitress i’ve ever had :)

Food is great. Service was fast, attentive, friendly and very nice. I love that you can grab what you want and how much you want. You order drinks and the proteins but they are NOT stingy with those. Not crazy expensive either!

This was my first visit to any Happy Lamb location. The meat selection and fish/veggie selection, I thought were pretty decent/sizable. I wasn’t a big fan of their spicy broth, not because of the spice level (yum) but because the broth had a granular texture which wasn’t pleasant. I was disappointed with their sauce station, it was incredibly limited as compared to other AYCE hot pot spots. The service and price of the meal overall was pretty decent.

We came here for hotpot family of 5 the food was alright the Cambridge place is better, we was there less than an hour he brought us the bill we were still eating they want charge my 7 years old for an adult price I was surprised this is the first we went so many places for hotpot when I question waitress she called my son to measure the height at the front desk my poor kid got up so fast about to follow her I stopped him and told her don’t do that I’ll pay, how could you do that to a child? That’s embarrassing even though she treated us poorly I still tip 20% i wouldn’t never step foot into this place ever again.

Came in for all you can eat today with my buddies. The food was alright, however the service was appalling. Matter of fact, two of my friends worked in the food service industry and even they said they wouldn’t tip.We were only served one round of meat. When it came to the second round, it was dinner rush hour and they decided to cut us off after we ordered 3 plates of meat for our second round. Only one plate of meat was delivered to us, they turned off the hot pot, and then gave us the receipt.None of the party wanted to leave a tip at all for the subpar service, but we paid a little bit over the bill. Afterward, one of the waiters ran outside the establishment to us with the bill in hand and asked if we would leave a tip, which we did. We gave her a higher 20% tip on top of what we already paid, and one of my friends who was in the bathroom at the time as he was walking out said he heard the waiters laughing at us after we left.Service is horrendous. Food is good, but not worth the time.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely do not bring kids here. Not worth the food and service.

If you want good hot pot this is the place. But to get someone to seat you attend to you or even acknowledge your presence in the world. This is not the place for you. We had to flag down this poor man to get any type of assistance. He was literally doing everything. When stuff like this happens you don't know it's because it's bad staff or is it because of your bring black. We were completely ignored no help no assistance I never been to a restaurant like this in my life. I won't go back because of the lack of good treatment. The broth was amazing and they had a large variety of everything for the buffet. But you felt alone for real

Old fan of Happy Lamb here. This location has way too much msg in their broth (spicy). The average waiting time for dinner is also quite long comparing with the Cambridge/China town location.
Great place, great food, ok prices, but the wait times can get crazy and they don't use their waitlist app.Wheelchair accessibility: Not a very wheelchair accessable place as the aisles between tables is very narrow. They do have a wheelchair lift to get inside but the door without steps is locked from the outside so you have to go up the steps to get inside anyway.

Fishballs, seafood, vegetables and variety of other accessories and non-meat foods are fresh available for buffet. Serving was friendly and quick. Some meter parkings are on Brighton or Harvard ave by chance. Recommend the Allston public lot for easy parking.
