I am an out of town visitor. I selected J& J on the basis of the high Yelp rating and the menu posted on the listing. We arrived at 7 PM on a Friday evening and were told that the cook had been sent home because it was slow. When my party arrived, the regulars at the bar all stopped talking and looked at us like we were from another planet. If you just want to have a dive/pool bar for the locals, then don't claim to be a full service bar and grill.

Walked into the bar first though that it was cute. Sat at a table with my boyfriend excited to try some food. Not once did the bartender welcome us. He got up to use the bathroom I figured she would bring menus it wasn’t to busy. I watched her check to see my boyfriend go to the bathroom and her peeking around the corner to see where he went. Still no menus to the table. He comes back and sits for a few more minutes before I realize that she’s just not coming to greet us. Unfortunately I didn’t get to experience the food and all I wanted was an Irish meal. Won’t be going again.

First time in the pub, great atmosphere, friendly locals . Service was excellent. Got a fisherman's platter with steak tips, scallops, mashed potatoes and mixed veggie for $15. Will definitely be returning when in the area!

Great local place. We got there as the kitchen was closing but he kindly took our order. Two bacon cheeseburgers later we are huge fans! Decent selection of beers.
