Your typical Chinese food spot. Nothing fancy, but hits the spot every time. What you'd expect from a Chinese take out place. Better than some I've been to and the price is reasonable.

I tried JP Kitchen for the first time in years and I was not very impressed by the food. The vegetable fried rice was bland and had frozen peas and carrots. The crab rangoons were ok, but nothing to write home about. The pu pu platter was disappointing, with small and hard egg rolls and skimpy beef teriyaki sticks. The only dishes that I really liked were the boneless spare ribs, and lobster sauce which were tender and flavorful, respectively. On the plus side, the restaurant had plenty of space and seating, and the prices were reasonable compared to other places nearby. The service was also excellent, with a friendly and attentive cashier who took my order and checked on me.Overall, I would give JP Kitchen a 3 out of 5 stars. It was not terrible, but it was not great either. I might go back if I'm in the mood for some spare ribs, but I would not recommend it for the rest of the menu.Vegetarian options: Vegetable fried rice

Nice lunch from JP Kitchen today. Food was cooked perfectly and was ready in less than 15 minutes.Ordered a large chicken finger - $11.95 - received 12 large chicken fingers cooked perfectly. :DOrdered a large crab Rangoon - $11.95 - received 11 tasty rangoons.Ordered a large Shrimp Lo Mein - $11.95 - got a nice LO Mein - happy surprise made with mushrooms and a reasonable amount of small (Quarter size) shrimp (peeled no tails).Condiments included: 1 Quarter size mustard cup. 2 Silver Dollar size duck sauce cups. 5 soy packets. 5 Fortune cookies.I placed the order via their website on a Monday at about 3pm (before the rush hour start) and paid with cash when I got there. There was no confusion. I asked in the comments for extra mustard sauce and the nice lady kindly brought me extra no charge and asked me if that was enough.I'm glad to have tried this restaurant and am happy they are in the neighborhood. Based on this order, I wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant to order food for take-out. Note I do not think they are open for dine-in.

If you're as big of a fan of peking ravioli as I am (and maybe even had it as a staple growing up), you'll know that it's a dying breed that's getting harder and harder to find in Boston. Many restaurants claim to make it, but upon arrival you're sorely disappointed: the wrapper is too thin, too fried, or the filling isn't quite right. As a fellow peking ravioli / dumpling connessieur, I can assure you: the peking ravioli made at JP Kitchen are perfect. Sure they're not fancy, but they're exactly like the frozen ones you used to be able to find in Chinatown grocery stores in the days of old: SUPER doughy wrapper with the perfect amount of gushy, tasty, pork filling. The ones pictured here are the steamed version. I'm very much looking forward to trying their fried version the next time!

Basic Info

Okay—let’s see ?. JP Kitchen is a staple in the community. The service is relatively okay ?. The communication not the greatest based on this last experience. They charged extra for vegetable fried rice and failed to communicate it. The lady apologized and offered a free beverage for the miscommunication, and when I picked out the beverage, she changed it to water. What is the big deal with the Gatorade that I picked out ($1 more)? Sometimes you have to take a loss to get a gain. What was the purpose of the apology? The place could be cleaner and I’m unclear why people are not able to dine-in, and menus are all over the place with wrong prices. Based on my last experience, they can use some training in customer service and cleanliness. #betterserviceplease

Please do not order from this place. I am an employee at the Brigham woman found in the hospital. I am a registered nurse here. I placed an order for my patient. The order never came to my location. what he did the delivery driver he delivered my food to the emergency room. I just watched him on camera. He dropped my food on the floor didn’t tell anybody who’s food it was for he just left! I went down. I called them and I let them know the situation, they are really angry about the situation. They feel like they’re right and I’m wrong. Please do not eat for. If you’re gonna put my food on the floor where’s there’s patients coming in and out with blood and etc.. Why would I eat from a place like that? I can imagine what they doing inside the restaurant please do not eat from them and I’m waiting for my refund to come back. If not, I would do a claims with my bank. stay away stay away stay away stay away please do yourself a great big favor..

This place has really good food, I recently moved to the area and was a little nervous about ordering Chinese food because once your used to certain kind of food, you dont want to waste money on terrible food ... Well I took the chance anyway and I'm sure glad I did! I ordered a pupu platter for 2 and it was 5 stars! The shrimp was the best I ever had the beef teriyaki was very good and the boneless spareribs 5 stars! I dont like chicken on the bone so I didn't eat the chicken wings but my parrot was singing so 5 stars from him. And with the pupu platter you receive rice which was ok, I all so ordered gai poa lo mai and i wasn't too crazy about that but that could be my own preference. I will definitely order again.Vegetarian options: Very good..Parking: I dont know anything about parking as i was delivered.

Wayyy too expensive for the portion they were giving out. Paid 42 dollars for small lo mein, and 2 "large" dishes. I wouldn't recommend this place unless it is an emergency.
