I ordered fried rice twice. I got noodles. The boneless ribs were small slices...tough. I sent all back and walked out.

Stayed locally and was craving some Pad Thai. Thrilled to find this spot across the street.

Great value for the money, and good calm atmosphere. The entree servings are generous. I almost always take half home for another meal. My glass of wine does add expense. My favorite is the Rama Garden with chicken, and a side order of brown rice.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant steps and entry would be difficult for a wheelchair.

Typical Neighborhood Thai spot in Beacon Hill.Over the past few months, I’ve been coming to King & I for occasional Thai food cravings. The restaurant offers a comfortable and no-frills setting that mirrors many Thai eateries. While it primarily caters to delivery service, dining in offers a cozy experience. From the appetizers, I had the Boneless Barbecue Spareribs, which was essentially pork tenderloin pieces immersed in a honey and spice-infused sweet chili sauce. However, the pork was slightly overcooked and the sweet chili sauce was overpowering. The entree experience was slightly better. My favorite so far was the Roast Duck Choo Chee. The duck, though slightly on the drier side, was redeemed by the curry sauce and the mushrooms and peppers. Similarly, the crispy chicken that came with Pad Thai was too thinly sliced and dry, but the noodles were decent.Another satisfying dish was the Seafood Royale. A medley of garlic shrimp, scallops, squid, and vegetables, the dish offered a balanced flavor profile - not overly spicy but still sufficiently zesty.Being the sole Thai restaurant in West End and Beacon Hill area, King & I dutifully serves its purpose: offering solid Thai food. While I’m not sure if I would go back, it’s still a reliable choice if you’re looking for a quick Thai meal.Parking: Paid Street parking on Charles St

Moved into the neighborhood about a month ago, and this this afternoon was my first time in the place, big mistake.Should have been here sooner....Really great! The pad thai was very tasty but not as spicy as I wanted. They brought me some chili flakes that solved that.So far, I would 100% recommend it and will be back for more. Will update over time.

Food: The curried puff and crab rangoon appetizers were outstanding, 10/10! The mee nam with chicken was also delicious and satisfying for a cold and rainy night. It was a large portion and took half of it home to enjoy the next day. The Thai iced tea was also very tasty.Atmosphere: Quiet, low-key, and cozy dining room.Service: Outstanding, friendly, attentive service and all of the food came quickly.Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be made with tofu and vegetables.

Food is great, always consistent!! Typically ready in 20min or less so its a great eat if you are in a hurry or want to grab something to quickly bring home. Only issue is sometimes finding a place to park, but it is Beacon Hill so it's to be expected.

After visiting the King and I last night with a friend, I have to say that the food atmosphere and friendly family team that served us exceeded my expectations. I got the orange curry, or for those that know the massamum curry. Delicious food and amazing service, and the prices are actually great. Not fancy Charles street prices, just really laid back and really good food for a reasonable price ?The thoughtful family team seated us close to closing, and we're very gracious in letting us stay late. Service was quick, attentive and five stars for everything.I also highly recommend this type place for people that are not sure about their spice level, the servers speak perfect English and are able to describe the different dishes that are both spicy and mild.I will definitely be back, It is the best Thai food in Boston in my opinion. I only wish they were open later than 8:30 p.m. on the weekdays ?
