Fantastic brunch! Layla’s has a wide variety of options for food and I left with plenty of leftovers. Favorite items were definitely the Cinnabon Pancakes—they were extremely thick and fluffy. Great texture and not too sweet. The burger (royale) was also just an excellent burger with good sauce. The only thing that I’m not sure I would order again was the brunch bowl. The eggs came over medium so the yolk wasn’t oozing over the rest of the bowl. Also, the portions of each item felt a little off. It definitely could have used more Brussels sprouts and bacon, but there were a lot of the breakfast potatoes. It was still great, just a little disappointing compared to the rest of the amazing food. I would love to come back here to try even more food!

Apps (wings, steak & cheese egg rolls) were unexpectedly pretty spicy/hot, the shepherds pie was tasty but dry. The place did have a nice warm atmosphere and was a lively spot, and we would go back. The main problem we had was that the waitress was pushing us way too much—first to order our apps, then to order dinners while our mouths were full and we were chewing the apps, and we hadn't even decided on our meals yet anyway, then she was pushing us for dessert or to take the check, immediately after eating, barely had put the fork down—we weren't planning to shovel our food down but she basically forced us to - and nobody was even waiting to be seated... so irritating!

Sorta of a Lincoln Tavern spot lower down the block in Southie.Food and beverage are both good but at the price higher than warranted.

Parking: Arrive early because parking in South End is very difficult.

Asked for 2 drinks. Charged me for 2 spilled one completely over. When we complained about it we got kicked out. Don't go here.

Great new spot in southie. Keira was our waitress and was very attentive. Chicken sandwich was fantastic and the angry pineapple drink was also great.

We went on a nacho tour of Boston, and this place won hands down. Laylas nachos have the best cheese and unique toppings like pickled onions. We rated laylas a 9/10 only because there’s no such thing as a perfect nacho. Honestly can’t think of any way of improving this dish, it’s perfect. Additionally, our server Emily was so lovely and she loved hearing about our nacho tour. She made our dining experience wonderful.

We have only been for brunch but both times it was absolutely incredible. The pancakes are the best in the city - thick and fluffy. Can’t wait to keep coming back.Dietary restrictions: Their menu shows anything that’s gluten free or could be made gluten free.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, high chairs, kids menus, coloring - all a big plus
