Inconsistent. I've been here twice. The first time for dinner with friends. It was a nice experience. Service was good. Food was delicious. Fell in love with the Truffled Lobster Mac'n'Cheese. Went back to grab that mac'n'cheese for lunch. Called the order ahead to save time and still had to wait. Hostess had attitude. Insult to injury, it was disgusting. Tasted like they scraped it off the bottom of the freezer. Completely inedible and I'm not that picky nor a nitpicker. Won't be back.

Staying at a hotel nearby and stopped in early March for a late drink. Was carded at the door, which is fine, but my ID was scanned in an "ID Science" machine. I have never seen this except in a government building or airports. I asked what the purpose was and the bouncer said everybody must have their ID scanned to enter. I asked if there was a privacy policy or if they retain the data in any way but the bouncer said I can either scan my ID or leave. Even cell phone apps have privacy policies, and what exactly is Legal Test Kitchen doing saving a picture of my drivers license? Why do they need to retain my address or honestly anything else other than my age and photo? While I was in the bar I saw one of the bouncer's friends enter without their ID being scanned, so it obviously wasn't completely enforced. Next time I'm in Boston I'll just go somewhere else for a drink.

At the moment you come to that place the waiters give you a pleasant feeling. Very courteous crew, it is a happy place to go out with your friends or with your date. very good cuisine, qualified chef de cuisine, competitive cost and professional service. Warmly recommended.

Got so sick from dinner here Friday 3/13/2020. I ordered the restaurant week price fixe menu Hoisen Salmon & had violent diarrhea & cramps for 2 days. Still feeling queasy 4 days later. I don't drink so no alcohol was involved. It was the food. My husband & I both had the clam chowder & he was fine so it wan't that & the dessert was ice cream bon bons so I doubt it was them.

Large portions. Salad dressing was amazing!

Legal Test Kitchen is a local chain arround the Boston area that's famous for its seafood. We had to have to clam chowder and the lobster roll (seasonal price). Chowder was nice and thick with a good amount of fresh clams and not too salty. Good amount of oyster crackers too if that's your thing.

Good seafood, lots of options, delicious. A great option for a work dinner and a different overall selection than a standard Legals seafood. hadn't been back to boston in a while and the chowder was as good as i remembered it.

Awesome, fun and trendy. Plenty of options with many flavors to choose from. I enjoyed tacos, my favorite was grilled octopus, with a close runner up of shrimp. Just fun and not too expensive. The fresh tuna appetizer is wonderful too!

The good is very good and the service is excellent. The octopus taco delicious but VERY small portion. Clam chowder was delicious. Salmon Pad Thai -very generous portion.

Fun time. Late night kind of atmosphere, with the lighting and music. There are always some stand out dishes, when we go here. This time, the lettuce wraps were really good- with deliciously marinated steak. The popcorn shrimp were also really tasty- little and crunchy, with buffalo sauce and blue cheese. My drink was also awesome- with bourbon, molasses bitters, and bacon on top! Didn't enjoy the tuna sashimi and papaya salad as much- but the other dishes were great & service was super friendly. Almost forgot, the salmon was delicious! Can't go without getting that.

First of all they forgot one of the appetizers, not once, but twice. We were served the wrong drink. Only one of the entrees came out. The other one came out 15 minutes later. The food was just not good at all. The best thing about this place was the sweet server and the very helpful host. Other than that, we would never go back for the food.

Something is going on here. Reliable in previous years. Most recent visit during early afternoon happy hour ended with suspect billing. Beers were charged at $12 per while menu said $6.50. 1 dozen oysters during half price happy hour were $18. This is not a fine dining establishment. Who has taken over? I will not return.

Love love love this place! Such a hip hideaway, perfect for late night arrivals if you're feeling hungry or just looking for delicious drinks with a great vibe. The 'lookin like a snack' cocktail was delicious. Though the lobster roll is sold at market value, both times I've gone it's been 100% worth the price!
