It's been a while since I came here with a bunch of girlfriends like 10 years ago. But it's nice to know that there's a lively social scene at the bar in the lobby with a DJ playing on a Friday night for free. We had some really good food to Nosh on and a good glass of wine and I highly recommend that if you want to come out with a bunch of girlfriends and just powered up be social and dance come here did you know that this was a jail before? A lot of young people and groups of people, company parties, etc. Classy joint.

Please don’t order a cocktail here… my 13 year old niece would have made it better. Extremely overpriced and terrible. I would have expected that such a cool place would have better drinks.

We were a family of three visiting Boston and after reading through the multitude of choices of restaurants and reviews, Clink was on my list to get reservations. This restaurant is in the Liberty Hotel, which if you've been to NYC it has the same vibe as the Roxy Hotel and the Beekman. I made reservations for a Saturday night at 7:15 and when we arrived the restaurant only had a few other couples there dining. I'll address this more at the end. Our server recommended a few choices of cocktails. My husband chose the Barrel Aged Old Fashioned and I chose the Crime of Passion. Both were excellent!! Both cocktails were by far the best we had the entire trip, and we had a cocktail or two at dinner each night during our five-night stay. Hats of to the bartender making those!! Although we really didn't see an appetizer that we could agree on we were served some outstanding rolls and butter. I'm not a big bread fan, but these were hot, soft, and had a great flavor. For our dinners I chose the Crispy Skin Farm Raised Salmon, my husband chose the Hand Cut Pasta Bolognese, and our son chose the Gulf of Maine Blue Cod. We all agreed each dish was prepared and presented perfectly and all three had wonderful flavors with no complaints. We didn't think we had room for dessert until we were told the options and one option was Peach Bread Pudding!! We found room for dessert and in hindsight wish we asked for one to go for the next day. It's a must try!! The atmosphere was great, the service was great (and the manager was walking around making sure everyone was enjoying themselves), the cocktails amazing, and the dinner and dessert was wonderful, so this left us asking "why is this place not packed on a Saturday night"? The only hiccup was when you walked into the hotel lobby it felt like they were having air conditioning problems, but the restaurant was not having that issue. So hopefully this was just some weird off night for this restaurant and hopefully more people have a wonderful experience like we did and leave great reviews. I know that if we come back to Boston, Clink is on our list to dine at again.

Wow! Incredible vibes in a Saturday night.Coming from NYC I expected little and was blown away. The music was great, drinks reasonable, and noise level perfect to have a conversation without everyone else heading you… but also not too loud to have to scream.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at your restaurant celebrating our 1 year anniversary. We came here on our first date and Marko was our amazing server. When we came back on the 2nd. Luckily for us Marko was our server once again. He was attentive, bright, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure our experience was the best it possibly could be. He really help make our night something special.

I had two dinners and one breakfast here in March 2023. Our waiter for all three meals, Marko, was very attentive to our needs, pleasant to deal with and made us feel very welcome. All meals were well prepared and delicious. The mussels appetizer is large enough to have as a main course and the salad appetizer was big enough to share. The Maine Salmon dinner, served with an Israeli couscous was excellent. The desserts, although tasty were small in size and overpriced. I'd skip dessert next time, but will definately return. Breakfast was also delicious but quite pricey and did not include coffee. Breakfast for two, with tip, was $75.00. We had another very attentive server, Brian, who filled waters, brought and removed plates that was excellent.

In Boston for a conference and The Clink came highly recommended by a fellow attendee. We made a last minute reservation and the experience did not disappoint. It was fantastic. The Clink is the renovated Charles Street Jail (built in 1851 and closed in 1990) turn fine dining restaurant and hotel. We looked to our waiter Marco for recommendations. He guided us on a culinary adventure from amazing signature cocktails to delicious desert. Thank you Marco!! For appetizers we started with tuna tartare which was super fresh and perfectly seasoned served on smashed avocado, then we had the pan seared cod with baby bok choy in a carrot lemongrass broth with mushrooms. The fish was perfectly cooked and flaky. The side horseradish mash potatoes were light and fluffy and simply divine. The ambience was a perfect blend of the rustic with iron barred windows and doors contrasted with the elegance of plush green velvet banquettes and warm lighting. We enjoyed after dinner reading about the history behind of the prison and watch a short video. Thank heavens we did for I forgot my debit card but thankfully Marco tracked us down at n the other side of the hotel to return it to me. Now that’s service!!

I can absolutely recommend Clink for an amazing eating experience! The chef, Shirley, crafted each dish with perfection. The mussels were so delicate they melted in your mouth and the bread was amazing dipped in the sauce. I don’t typically order seafood and now I’m converted! The shrimp chips and tuna tartar were refreshing and a delicious palette cleanser. The real star of the show was the steak. Cooked absolutely to perfection, it is hands down the best steak I’ve had in my life. Our entire dinner party was silent during the first bites (believe me, I never would’ve thought this was possible!). Our waiter Ben was extremely helpful without being overbearing and our party got along with him amazingly! We would’ve invited him to sit with us if he wasn’t working! Overall we loved our experience so much we ended up coming back the next day with an even bigger group of friends to show them the food and it was just as amazing as the first night.

As a tourist, I was unsure which spots to try in Boston, but was recommended the restaurant ‘Clink’ connected to ‘The Liberty Hotel’. The restaurant’s setting was cozy, with lots of history in the details, as it still had elements of the old prison the hotel was converted from. However, the most wonderful element was the experience provided by the servers and chef. Not only was the food, prepared by chef Shirley, phenomenal, with attention to every minute detail, the servers Ben and Stella was extraordinarily attentive to the needs of our table, regardless of it being a busy night. I can definitely recommend ‘Clink’ if you’re looking for an authentic Boston culinary experience, with great service attached.

I went with friends and we shared a lot of the appetizers. We got the Tuna tartar, mussels, arancini, salad, and lamb chops. The tuna tartar came with authentic shrimp chips and had fish roe on top. Putting the tuna tartar in the shrimp chip was such a delicious combination. The arancini was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The mussels were good and dipping the bread into the sauce was a great.
