What a gem of a place, especially if you have an extra long layover at Logan or need to catch a bite before or after a flight! Great burgers, friendly staff - & owner. The outdoor seating is fun in summer, and I love the historic building. Lovely place!

Patio has a rat problem, my waitress was super nice and accommodating but my table was right by the fence where all of the rats were. I heard screeching and one almost ran over my foot. My waitress moved me to a new table but I just paid and left.

10/10 would recommend! We stopped by needing to kill some time and so happy we did — we found our new Boston go to spot when we fly in!! ? The staff was kind and the food/drinks were great! Also appreciated the waitress, chef I think, and John being so friendly and caring about our needs and us being outside in the uncharacteristically hot weather (we’re from SC we know all about it but they didn’t know that!) #SupportLocal ?

100% worth the ticket we got for overstaying the 2 hour parking limit! Unrelated, but apparently there is a correct way to pronounce “Thames” and it’s not what you would expect. Here’s to learning new things every week at Tuesday night trivia!

Had dinner at this neighborhood bar and resturant last night. I really liked that they had a drink menu with their special cocktails. I had the Jalapeño Margarita which was really good. When a place says it has a spicy Margarita they normally just throw a slice of jalapeño in it and call it good. Here at Maverick House Tavern they actually had muddled jalapeño in it which makes it so much better. We did order the nachos for an app. Unfortunately they were not the best. Only had a single layer of cheese so if you didn’t get a chip from the top you missed any chance at cheese and they lose their namesake if its just a pile of chips. I had a spicy shrimp taco and Cajun chicken taco. Unfortunately they were more average in flavor. I’m still giving this place 4 stars. The wait staff was friendly and I’m hoping it was just an off night for the kitchen. Drinks were good. I would try it again to see on the food. Good place for a drink though.

Came here on a Saturday night and was seated outside with no wait. My friends ordered a burger and chicken sandwich. I tried their food and it was good. I ordered a few tacos with corn tortillas. The tortillas were fairly dry and broke apart. The filling of the tacos were delicious though. I'm going to come back and try brunch or more menu items soon.

I'm not sure how this place hasn't been rated yet? Nice patio, friendly staff, delicious pub food! The outside seating is definitely the star of this place. Tons of tables around the side and in front.

Recently changed ownership and created a website " which bashed the old ownership (who were great). The website also linked a court filing, not judgement that a first glance contained a multitude of errors and is wildly exaggerated. The new ownership seems quite unprofessional. I personally will not be dining here. This is a sad loss for the Eastie community.

I had a chance to try the food at Maverick House Tavern before its official opening tomorrow and everything was delicious. I’m not sure why there is a recent influx of bad reviews if the place hasn’t even opened yet. To say that the place used to be good and is bad because of management (especially if they haven’t opened) seems unfair and targeted. The point of reviews is to help other people know what the good and bad of a place is, not bash their online presence when they haven’t even had the chance to show what they have to offer. I have no personal affiliation to the restaurant but would like to see more small businesses be supported in and around East Boston.

This place has such a fantastic vibe! The drinks were awesome! The food was killer!! Our server was on point and friendly!! The dart room had written Play The Game on the windows!! Such a blast!! I'll be back and bring friends!! I hope more people come and experience it as well!! They won't be disappointed! So easy to get to as well! Right down the street from the Maverick T stop.
