Excellent Italian restaurant with very attentive servers. I would recommend their wine over their cocktails. Desert is also quite good. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: As an Italian restaurant there are several options for vegetarians (vegans, not so much I don't think)...

We had a great dinner here on a quiet Monday evening. The service was wonderful- they gave us all the time we needed, but were attentive to our needs. We were all happy with our dinners. We will definitely be back!

We got seated right away at our reservation time. Our server and the staff was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive but not over the top, we didn't feel rushed. The food was very good, the menu has a great variety, almost too much as it is hard to decide. One of our favorite places in the North End.

So i remembered having a plentiful meal here last year. I chose to return to support local places. I ordered a chicken parm dinner and there was barely any CHICKEN. My plate runneth over with pasta., then they gave a side of pasta .I paid close to $200 for dinner and my eyes were opened. Charcuterie like board 2 slices of each meat(3) total, a few bites of cheese. Pasta dish was dry and i wasn't offered cheese this experience. The WINE was great 2 glasses- The door with a curtain that kept opening to the low temps made the experience even more upsetting. I was surprised that my experience changed so drastically. I guess my exp didnt reflect the last one. It was a new year and a new one. I cant afford to go to dinner and not get enough protein on my plate. Last time i remember telling everyone about my dinner, my experience and getting there about 1 hr away to a great night.

While the food was truly phenomenal, I am appalled by the poor service. We waited FIFTY MINUTES (with a reservation!) without one single apology. Then we were seated in the bar area, despite booking a standard seating table, not the bar area. Seeing that we were at the bar, the noise level was very high (which is obviously fine if that's where you chose to be but that's not where we booked our reservation) that we were unable to have a conversation. To top things off, the AC started blasting (on a freezing Boston winter night) right above us. Our waiter was very nice and did proceed to ask them to turn off the AC after we said something. Such poor service really does injustice to the delicious food the restaurant offers and takes away from the experience.

My gnocchi was boring and bland even for gnocchi, which is not by default the most exciting of plates. The waiter knew little about the wines. The restaurant was reasonably priced, however, and others in the party seemed to enjoy their meals.

This restaurant is absolutely lovely. All of their dishes are delicious, but their pasta will change your life. I live across the country and make it a point to return to Vintoeca di Monica whenever I visit Boston. I could happily eat there every day. The best part? Their perfect, chewy, fresh-baked bread. It was an honor to enjoy such excellent food :)

Got lucky when this place had a last minute table open. The pasta is made fresh next door and was so good. Fair prices for the quality.

Really great food, if a little too salty. The Crespelle al Funghi appetizer is MAGICAL - what a great combination of flavors and textures. Bolognese was very good, like a stew made into a sauce with distinct flavor of the wine. Bucatini al amatriciana was perfectly cooked and plump, with excellent tomato flavor and tender braised meat.

As usual the food was excellent and this visit the waiter was especially outstanding, kind, helpful. Our table of five had all different kinds of dishes, and everything was fantastic.
