No "Irasshaimase!" welcome here because it's not truly Japanese. Then again, I didn't get a "Ni hao" either. Not sure I would characterize this as Izakaya, more sushi bar. Still, the food was well done if small portioned. I enjoyed the "premium omekase" I ordered. Boston prices did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly. The sushi bar vibe was right.

I loved this place so much, I decided to come back again the next week! This time, I decided to try their omakase. It was delicious and it was different from other omakases I have tried. They served all of the sashimi in one boat rather than course after another course. Nonetheless, it was still good and worth it for the price, especially if you like raw fish. The foie gras was my favorite, as well as the otoro. The service here is amazing, every time. Definitely give Nagomi Izakaya a try if you're in the area and have not yet tried!

The tuna & toro don is soooo good! The toro just melts in your mouth. The sushi rice is also very yum. $30 very reasonable for this quality of fish and a big portion that I couldn't finish. Much better than Tora (another don place) imo! Nice, relaxed setting, not very crowded.

An amazing experience for a premium cost. The costs are also different for the same items on different delivery platforms. The Spicy Sake Maki, the Spicy Tekka Maki, The Agedashi Tofu, The Tekka Steak, The Sake Aisuru Donburi, The Chirashi Donvuri and the Miso Soup are absolutely delicious. The rice that comes with the Donburi is proper Japanese, and this is important for dishes with a rice base. If the rice from the sushi place that you visit does not taste proper or if it is not Japanese, I recommend you not to order from them further. The Tekka Maki arrived tasting a little less fresh, but this may be a temperature issue.

Uber Eat order of the 8 set Aburi sushi. Only got the 6 set with a non-refundable option. Can’t event pay enough attention to the order being placed. The non-refundable order makes no sense. Caution for online orders.UPDATES - Called the restaurant and was left with the line open and no response. Hanged up the phone and tried to redialed with the same number, I was notified that my call could not be completed. Tried again with my other phone, it went through. Apparently the previous number was blocked by the restaurant. Very good gesture of how you approached to address customers’ concerns. Leaving a nice note is probably all you can do. This restaurant would be off from my list for good. I would suggest the same for others.

Delicious food, beautiful restaurant. I did the sushi omakase, takoyaki, & green tea. All very delicious. Fresh fish, immaculate sushi. Good kick to the takoyaki. Attentive waitresses.

Came here recommended by a friend. The place was not crowded around lunchtime on the weekend so we got seated right away. The foie gras and wagyu beef tartare were tasty but the sizes were too tiny for each piece. Korokke was freshly made and very crunchy. However, the uni fried rice was quite disappointing. The uni from the dish had a strong raw taste that didn’t taste fresh.Overall, the ambiance was not bad and service was quite efficient. It’s a nice place for small groups of people.

Ate there for both lunch and dinner yesterday. Terrific place -- quiet, soothing ambiance. Lunch: Delicious salmon. Attentive service (though it wasn't crowded). Dinner: really delicious seafood udon (noodles just the right amount of chewy, very flavorful but light broth). There's a nice fountain gurgling quietly in the front. This place has better fish than the 3x more expensive Blue Ribbon Sushi across the street, and better udon than the udon place across the street.

Tried the seafood udon. Ingredients were very fresh. Broth had a sweetness to it. Noodles were yummy.

Surprisingly good sushi and not too expensive. The black dragon roll was good. The agedashi tofu and takoyaki were good as well. The unagi don is not the best, not typical of how it’s served. Good drinks. Only thing it’s missing is skewers for more bar food.

A hidden gem in the big city of Boston! Calm and intimate sushi place right off Kenmore Square. It was such a delight coming here!! The servers are sweet and attentive and everyone is super friendly here. Very beautiful presentation of some of the most tasteful cuts of sushi I've had. The wagyu beef scallop just melts in your mouth, with the small hint of the juicy uni (sea urchin) on top to make it perfect. The scallop on the Ocean maki was delicious, and their nigiri was eaten so fast I barely got a photo! Definitely a higher-end price menu, so it's definitely a special event type place for me, but your tastebuds will thank you for this place! Worth every dollar spent here, especially for Boston.

This is by FAR the best sushi in Boston. From the texture and flavor of the rice to the perfect torch of the fish, I feel like I am in Japan. Best accommodating staff and atmosphere. Will be back here
