The ice cream is fabulous AND they have vegan options too. Everything is homemade, including the baked goods. There is also a small section for a variety of candy. The owner and staff are super nice. Service is outstanding. I highly recommend- this as a must try if you visit the north end.

The ice cream and service were AMAZING! The matcha ginger and espresso oreo were so tasty. I find most matcha ice creams sad and artifical but this one tasted like real matcha and the ginger was not overwhelming; it was literally perfect. The ice creams are made in house and you can taste the love that is put into it and the freshness!! The staff are also so nice and they were so patient as we were trying to decide between our flavors. I recommend the waffle cone with chocolate and sprinkles and their chocolate fudge too, so good! I cannot wait to go back!

I’m a bit of an ice cream snob and this place is so legit I tried to come here 5 or 6 times in my 3 weeks in Boston.Wish the hours were a little later but in reality closing at 10pm is reasonable and expecting them to be open to 11 is a bit unreasonable. If you’re an ice cream fanatic don’t skip this place. One possible issue- the sugar cookie and burnt caramel were essentially a vanilla one of the times we went. Maybe the batch was inconsistent? Not enough to detract from the overall qualify of the ice cream here but something to keep an eye on if I were the owners of this place.

Tucked away on a North End side street, this cute little ice cream shop was jampacked when I stopped by on a late summer evening. There's no seating inside and barely enough wiggle room for perhaps 6-8 folks to line up, order, and then pay inside. It's worth any wait or hassle, though. There are up to 20 flavors available at any time, many of which rotate, and a few of which are vegan. All the offerings are made on site, and the freshness and attention to ingredients shows, like in the blueberry cheesecake I tried. There may also be some interesting Asian-inspired flavors like taro, ginger matcha, or Thai tea coconut. Given its small-batch nature, the ice cream is not cheap, at $5.45 for one scoop. Also, they only do one flavor per scoop, so if you want to try more at once, try splitting a multi-scoop serving with someone. Still, a welcome addition to the many foodie delights here in the North End.

Ice cream was delicious!!! Ordered Espresso Oreo (HIGHLY recommend) and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Both were great and made us wish we would’ve ordered a medium. But small size was still enough ice cream. Service was excellent, they were so kind and friendly. Highly recommend if you’re needing an ice cream fix!

Homemade! The owner literally makes the ice cream in a machine in shop. They usually have dairy free flavors, but they ran out and we didn't have time to wait for it to be made. The owner was super nice and offered a cookie on the house instead or lactaid! The ice cream itself was good, but the vanilla lacked in flavor. The fudge brownie was very rich and the cookie dough was decent, but with the vanilla base so it was sweet but not super flavorful. The portions were decently large, I couldn't even finish one scoop. Overall would go again!

Go for: A serious ice cream craving, or if you're seeking a great alternative to the ridiculous lines for certain pastry shops on Hanover Street...Avoid if: You have eaten a big meal within an hour prior to arrival.Something surprising: If you order the smallest cup, be prepared to receive enough ice cream for 2-3 people.Reservation needed? No, no seating availableOverall . For all of the hype that some competitors get, the North End Creamery is definitely underrated. The servings are beyond generous for the price, there's almost never a terrible line, and the menu isn't totally overwhelming like some other ice cream shops.Value for Price: 5Sanitation: 5Food Quality: 4Menu Precision: 4Service Quality: 3Timing: 4Decor: 4Access: 3—5 among the best4 strong3 not too bad2 mediocre1 never again

Very yummy and creamy ice cream. Fun and unique flavors. I love that they are so happy to let you try flavors. They were making their mint flavor when we walked in and it smelled SO GOOD. I had half mint chocolate chip and half raspberry chip. So yummy and rich

After dinner in the North End, came here for some home made ice cream and waffle cones. We were not disappointed and our expectations were exceeded. super friendly people (husband and wife owners were working and one additional person). broad selection of ice cream. the waffle cone was freshly made and the chocolate dipped rim was great. the entire cone was stuffed with ice cream and the ice cream was fantastic. we would be frequent customers if we lived in boston.
