We were really looking forward to coming here based on the reviews and James Beard finalist nomination. The restaurant is beautiful and whimsical, and the staff seating us in a comfy booth was very friendly and nice, but unfortunately that is where the positives ended. The food was both very ordinary but at the same time was so covered in creamy/cheesiness that we felt sick after eating such rich food. Even both salads they offer were covered in gloopy creamy dressings, and showered in mountains of cheese. The garlic bread which we were so looking forward too was probably the best part, but even that was vaguely stale in texture and not anything special. The clams in garlic broth were a little tough and hard to eat, and the mains felt like we were eating at a chain Italian restaurant. The service was slow and somewhat indifferent. We came in excited and left feeling disappointed and vaguely ill.

A-MAZ-ING!!! The setting - stunning and comfortable. The staff - knowledgeable and friendly - perfectly attentive. And the FOOD- O-M-G!!! Everything - exceptional. Mind blowingly exceptional. I have probably talking to more people about the ceasar salad in the last day than I have talked about any meal ever. Flat out flavor bomb. I don’t know how they did it - and I love to deconstruct what I eat and try and recreate. I’m this circumstance - I’m fine with not knowing and just enjoying the experience. And osso buco marinara?!? Mind blown….. if you are a foodie (and based on some of the a-hole reviews - some obviously aren’t) you HAVE to check this place out. We will be back - from CT - just for dinner- well worth the trip.

I was so looking forward to this meal. I'd become a fan of Tiffani Faison from watching her in cooking competitions, so when I was going to be in Boston for my birthday, I chose to celebrate at Orfano. The service was decent, but aside from the meatballs, the food was a huge disappointment. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, but only three come in the order. The garlic bread was cheesy, but not at all garlicky. We ordered the osso buco and lobster bucatini. The osso buco was overdone and tough. The bucatini was limp like pasta out of a can, and the sauce was bland. Giving two stars for the meatballs. Wish I'd gone to the North End instead.

Decided to stop at this restaurant based on Capital one dining restaurants recommendations and am glad I did! Even though Orfano does not have a display to call your attention from the outside, the interior design is quite astonishing. Me and my fiancé sat at the bar and the customer service we got was top notch, and it's very rare to find places where you feel like the staff truly care about your experience and service while dining. Drinks were absolutely phenomenal! Just superb and on point. We also shared the pasta bolognese, and it was just very tasty and a bliss. Highly recommend this establishment.

This restaurant is phenomenal. The decor and ambience is very nicely done. I felt very comfortable and classy. The food is delectable. Many other reviewers complain that the garlic bread wasn't free but if you want free bread go to bertucci's. I do not know many restaurants that give out garlic bread for free. The service and staff are all top notch and very kind and accommodating and the space is clean.

Everything was perfect! Service was A+ from the moment I walked in. All of the food came out at a perfect pace. Now for the taste, absolutely amazing. I was so full I had to take a dessert to go!

Too pretentious. $9 for bread that most nice restaurants give you for free to start. $17 for 4 ounces of wine. Smallest pour I have ever had and we eat out twice a week. Caesar salad was delicious. Branzino was ok. This was a very special occasion and we told them and they did nothing. I have never been to a restaurant that does nothing for a special occasion. This was quite a disappointment. Not a great addition to the area.

My family and I had such an amazing time at Orfano the other night for my birthday dinner. The Orfano team took such good care of us and we had a really delicious meal. We loved every plate: the garlic bread, the giant mozzarella stick, lobster bucatini, and rigatoni bolognese. The chicken parm was so large it covered the plate! The wine was also exceptional. Would definitely return in the future!

I've never been to a place where I was both over-served and under-served. There were at least 5 people constantly hovering around my wife and I the whole time. This was supposed to be an intimate valentines day dinner and we barely had time to talk just the two of us. That is until our meal was finished and we ordered cocktails and dessert to go. We waited about 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. We were ready to leave at that point so we thought we would just cancel the drinks and get the dessert. Not a big deal. A manager had to come over to confirm our drink cancellation which was weird. It then took another 20 minutes to get our to go dessert. At that time over half our meal time was just waiting around to leave. Food was 3 stars maybe. Fried ravioli you could buy at the supermarket and fry yourself just as good, almost no ricotta in there. Clams were not properly shucked but were fresh. Osso Buco was fine but slightly metallic tasting. Rigatoni was very gummy. Tiramisu was not great. My wife said her deconstructed cannoli had no flavor at all. Looking for a last minute reservation for a make up valentines dinner for tonight.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Boston. Amazing pasta, incredible atmosphere. Everything is perfection. This is my first review ever and tbh thjs place deserves it. Don’t walk, run.

I came here for the first time last night, although I've frequented many of Tiffany Fasion's other spots. I was delighted with my experience, I can't stop thinking about it. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and fun. I had the bucatini with meatballs and it was one of the better pasta dishes I've had in Boston. My party also split the Caesar salad and it was a really fun and delicious take on the original dish. I plan on going back next week as well, I enjoyed it that much.

Everything was super delicious, just a little expensive. Suggest coming here when you have a celebration to make that person feel special :)

I got to try Orfano the other evening. The branzino and the pasta were top notch, shout out the our waitress Lo who was quick with amazing recommendations. The espresso martini was on point, 3 beans and all. And you can't leave without ordering their garlic bread *chef's kiss*

Loud cramped and way over priced . The food was boring and small plates tiny salad and you pay for extra for everything. Then our bill had a 5% kitchen charge that I didn't know about until the bill came.I wouldn't mind that if I didn't pay so much for everything else like $18 for a ok drink. Davio's is much much much better. So disappointed. This owner is all over TV and puts this out ouch!!
