Can't beat it. The best food you can find in a hospital, diner style

Pat's has been a go to spot for the last 8 years for me. They excell at diner food and i have never been disappointed. I will call out their cheesesteaks in particular...they are great and i used to go to Dalessandro's consistently when i lived in Philly. The comments about the staff are completely unwarrented...they are wonderful. Yes, it does happen from time to time that orders get forgotten (they take everything verbally) but are always super apologetic and correct everything right away. If you are in the Brigham area and are wanting excellent diner food you need to try Pat's.

You get it. I get it. Hospital food sucks. One could argue the Brigham is just about like any hospital when it comes to the cafeteria, etc. Just lame cafeteria food. But Pat's Place, a somewhat hidden cafe in 15 Francis Building (hard to find, but just ask the security homie in 15 Francis and he'll know) that is silently yet entirely responsible for all the amazing catering events that have ever graced BWH pre-pandemic, singlehandedly carries BWH cuisine to a new height. I come here literally every weekday, no exaggeration. I always get the iced coffee, black. It's so good, refreshing, solid, decently priced. I'll often get the food as well; sometimes breakfast, sometimes lunch. Breakfast - solid all-around. You get anything with bacon, and you can best believe they'll load up your order with a crap ton. It's serious value. I love the bacon egg and cheeses. The breakfast sandy + iced coffee is really nice value price-wise. Sandwiches/lunch - they really shine here. So many options - hot, cold, beef, chicken, turkey, pastrami, list goes on. And they're all good! Their cheesesteaks and tuna melts seem to be popular. They even have to-do salads that they can load up with meat, which I see is pretty popular. I personally go for a cheesesteak, Italian cold cut, turkey, ham or roast beef. Now the fellas that work here. They know me. I know them. And let me tell you something to straighten the record since I'm seeing some slander on Yelp about their professionality. I'm not having it. These are hard-working, humorous guys that clearly enjoy what they do and are effective in their work. I've never had an issue with them. Yes, they juggle catering and takeout orders so your order might take longer than usual sometimes, but they're always upfront and tell you if they have backlog. I've never disappointed by the service here. I come in to the joint every day. They see me. They start digging the ice, because they know an iced coffee is comin. If that isn't straight business, I don't know what is. Pat's is amazing. Pat's is life.

Absolutely amazing subs. Really, if you're at the Brigham the best food option, hands down. Guys running it are also awesome and friendly.

Madly, truly in love with Pats. My wife has had horrible morning sickness All the way through Both pregnancies. The ONLY thing she would be able to keep down was the Turkey Club Wrap on either sun dried tomato or garlic and herb wrap. WE LOVE PATS.

Convenient. Good value. Good food. Employs disadvantaged workers. Gives them a chance.

We are very satisfied with Brigham and Women’s. Thank god every single day for their knowledge and bedside manner. I feel we are at the best place in the world for hospital care and DOCTORS.

Had open heart surgery in 2018. Great doctors and nurses. The hospital was so good to my family too. I had a family member with me from beginning to end. It makes the experience a little easier. Great clean hospital. *****

God is the best doctor and prayer is the best medicine. My mother left the hospital today and it was a miracle, 85 years old was in ICU for four weeks. Thanks, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, doctors, nurses, and staff.

I'm a medical student and am around Brigham a lot during breakfast and lunch hour. Getting a meal at Pat's Place is always one of the highlights of my day. They have an amazing breakfast deal where you can get an egg any style, a choice of meat (bacon or sausage), potato hash, a couple slices of toast, AND coffee, all for $4.25! It's unbelievable. For lunch, I usually get a small cheeseburger sub, which is basically what it sounds like: a cheeseburger on a sub. I get it with "all the toppings" because ordering at the counter with the lunch rush can sometimes be a little bit stressful. All in all, I'm so glad Pat's Place exists.
