This East Boston waterfront restaurant is a picturesque location for cocktail time. Our waitstaff were attentive, engaging yet gave us space to enjoy our drinks and select from the menu. So, five stars for that. However, the items we selected were mostly a disappointment except for the Nonna meatballs. The Caesar salad, calamari, tuna nachos, and crab rice were fine but certainly will not be memorable. They were no better than what you might find in a good diner.

Food quality/price is off the charts (for the bad). A couple of years ago this used to be the only place in Easton where to have to decent food. Now, I would recommend going anywhere but here if you want to have good quality food for a decent price.

I wasn’t crazy about this place. The food was nothing special. There are a few things that saved it: portion sizes, atmosphere, and the view. The restaurant feels like you are in a boat while it is right on the water. It’s pretty but I wasn’t impressed too much by the food. Good service and good place for an after-dinner drink.

Entire experiences have always been great...My one issue is how small the pours of red wine are. Downtown, everywhere, they are much larger.

I recently dined at Reelhouse in Boston after making reservations a month in advance. While the restaurant has positive reviews, my experience fell short of expectations. The issues began with the reservation system, adding two entries to my Google calendar for each location, leading to a costly mistake with Lyft.Upon arrival, the ambiance didn't align with the high prices – booths and televisions were unexpected. The menu's expensive drinks ($17-20) and underwhelming entrees left me dissatisfied. The $29 shrimp fra diavolo lacked spice and tasted store-bought. The $31 salmon dish was small, accompanied by inedible artichokes, lackluster brussels sprouts, unseasoned potatoes, and minimal chimichurri.Despite the culinary disappointments, I must commend our server, Alexa, for her excellent service. However, the odd and limited menu, coupled with the need to box my own food, detracted from the overall dining experience. Considering the prices, a dress code would have been appropriate, as witnessing casual attire seemed out of place. In conclusion, while Reelhouse has potential, my visit left me hesitant to return. A menu overhaul, improved consistency in food quality, and attention to reservation issues could enhance the overall dining experience.

Came for supper. Very relaxed yet attentive. Drinks were very good. Elote Corn (so good!!), Malaysian Style Chicken Wings (mild and well cooked), Swordfish Tacos (nice pieces of fish and flavorful aioli), Oysters on the half (cold, clean, briney, yum), Nonna's Meatballs (nice sized meatballs good marinara) and a hot Lobster Roll (big pieces of lobster filled a well toasted brioche). Beautiful open views. Highly recommended!!

Lovely location and decent service. The food is not any good, from quality meats to the preparation. Food is too salty and medium rare is served as well done :/

I was there couple of days ago for lunch. Location is great, great environment as well. Service is very good. About the food I have two compaints:1) the steak tips were great but when they arrived at the table they were almost cold. It was a shame because the meat was top quality2) the soup CLAM CHOWDER…. was the greatest disappointment. It was very good but it did not support the word CLAM . I found every ingredient I expected , but I did not find any clams. I know that potatoes, corn are cheaper than clams BUT clam chowder soup is made with clams. In my soup CLAMS were MIA, gone, invisible :(. That is not the way to serve a New England clam chowder soup.

I went to the Reelhouse located on 6 New St in East Boston. This is my second time coming here and it did not disappoint! Last time I was here I came for dinner but this Sunday I tried their brunch menu. For their main brunch items we had their mini pop tarts. These were handmade and came in pumpkin and nutella chocolate flavors. These were cute but I wish they had more filling in them. If you come here with kids or you yourself have a sweet tooth these would be an ideal choice 5/10. The brioche french toast also satisfies all those who may have a sweet tooth. This was a thick piece of toast with berry compote, whipped cream and of course maple syrup 8/10.The star dish of the brunch was the salmon cake benedict This dish had the most perfect poached eggs and came with home fries. The salmon was also cooked perfectly a true 10/10 in our eyes. The non-traditional brunch items we got were the steak frites which had sirloin steak tips, sauteed spinach and parmesan fries 7/10. I wish the steak wasn't so tough to eat but otherwise the flavor was there and you really can't go wrong with parmesan fries. We also got the israeli style hummus which had mediterranean olives, crumbled feta and crispy chickpeas. The hummus also came with these cumin za'atar pita chips.A great pairing and a very shareable dish. I recommend getting this for the table when you come here 8/10. Lastly, the crab fried rice was another great shareable dish. It had generous portion of crab and diced vegetables in it 8/10.The cost of everything was very reasonable and I would be back again for a third time! I love their ever changing menu!Food: 8/10Affordability: 8/10Ambiance: 8/10
