TLTR: Mediocre service. Watch out for sneaky UP surcharge!I wanted to have a drink, and since the whole bar area was full (and very loud) I decided to land at one of the tables outside of the main bar area. Dialog between the waiter (W) and myself (Me):W: What would you like?Me: I see you have Lagavulin on the shelf, may I have one?W: Which one do you want?Me: Which do you have? What ages?W: You can check the menu (points me to QR code on the table). Meanwhile I'll bring you water. (the waiter disappears)I'm checking online menu, and find only one choice for Lagavulin 16 years. Ok, NVM, perhaps waiter doesn't remember all the drinks they have, no big deal, I'll wait. After 10 min waiter appears WITHOUT promised water.W: So did you decide what you want?Me: Yes, you have only one Lagavulin, so I'll have that one. And I want it neat.W: No ice?Me: yes, no ice.Waiter disappears. After 10 min appears with a glass of Lagavulin poured over an ice cube.Me: I asked without ice.W: Do you want me to take it out?Me: Yes, pleaseWaiter disappears, and comes back in 3 min with the same glass without an ice cube. I start suspecting he just fished it out with his fingers, otherwise he wouldn't be able to turn around with a new drink with a bar full of customers. Along the drink appears the check:- Lagavulin - $XX- UP $3- Tax ......I'm a bit puzzled by the UP on the bill. Is it because they suspect I'll take the drink UP to my room? But in this case I'll carry it myself, so why to charge me? Deciding ot ask a waiter.Me: Excuse me, what is this UP charge on my bill?W: This is because barment had to add drink to your glass.Me: What do you mean? I just asked for Lagavulin, and nothing else to add, so what is this charge for?W: Because when we took out the ice, the drink level was too low, and we had to add more Lagavuling. At this point I understand this is not the bar I'll be coming back to, and just quietly retreat to my room. Some of you might say: c'mon, you are making all the fuss because of $3? But from my point of view: we get too many of those sneaky surcharges. At least the hotel itself had a decency (or perhaps it's a law) to warn about $35/night "amenity fee" which I still have no idea what kind of amenities I was getting for that beyond the room itself.

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet. Though some of the dishes were truly delicious...most of the food was room temperature. There weren't really many classic thanksgiving sides, but the cheese roast potato's were awesome and the acorn squash soup was to die for. All the meat was room temp and had clearly been out for a while. The bread table...all the bread was hard and not flavorful at all. Another concern as someone who has nut allergies, the ice cream station, the server used one scoop for three different flavours including one with nuts. When I asked if he could get a fresh one to get a flavour without nuts he said no. Our waiter was super sweet but very busy. Definitely not worth the $120 price tag. Wouldn't go back.

This review is for the Thanksgiving buffet experience *ONLY*. Ambiance was nice and quiet. Staff was nice, and took dishes away quickly. Food tasted, for the most part good, or great, even. However, virtually every dish you would expect to be hot/warm was cold or just barely above that. Yes, even the stuff at the carving station. What also surprised me was the fact that *every* dish there terribly overdone and very dry. On top of that, the taste? Mediocre, at best. Really wasn't a fan of the salmon, even though I usually love it. The hot chocolate and apple cider? Both lukewarm, unfortunately, with the hot chocolate being more like hot chocolate syrup instead. Man, that stuff was heavy. The roasted brussels sprouts were not, in fact, roasted. Or at least they did not appear to be. More like just lightly cooked and seasoned. The list goes on. At 120 a head, forgive me for expecting my food to be hot and not overdone (or in the case of the brussels sprouts, not cooked enough). I get that we are paying a bit more for the convenience and the staff taking time away from their families during this holiday, but I honestly feel like for what I and my family got, price per head should've been perhaps a bit more than half of what was charged. So, I will say this. If the food had been hot, not over/under cooked, I would have far less to complain about. As stated before, for the most part, the food tasted good/fine. If Miel addresses the aforementioned issues next year, I'm sure there would be very little to complain about.

I went for their Thanksgiving day buffet. Lovely and bountiful food presentation. Unfortunately the food was cold, and the stuffing and potatoes had no flavor. Dessert table was the best. Wonderful variety. Service was top notch-Nico made my holiday meal extra special. Dining room is spacious and with the large windows overlooking the water, on a sunny day the room is bright and it's a nice view.

Rude waitstaff - 4 of us visited today and sat outside after ordering at the bar. 15 minutes later some jumped up bartender came outside and shouted at us, saying the area was for table service only! This was at 4pm in the afternoon - we wouldn’t have even minded moving, but his attitude was so rude and completely out of the blue! We will never visit the bar again, ever.

The menu lacked variety and for a Saturday evening at 7 PM there was no atmosphere or energy in the space. Drink menu had nothing to speak of, no variety nothing that caught your attention

The food was amazing, so much flavor! I had the sea scallops and my husband the Chicken. The menu is small but if everything on it is tasty ; for sure we will keep coming back. The ambiance is unfortunately not special. It needs some « energy « and je ne sais quoi !

the kitchen was clearly not in a competent state. the rolls came out cold and rock hard nearly inedible. the clam chowder would need to be rated worse in Boston. it is sad since i had one of the more memorable dinners at Miel the last time i visited. I can't recommend. richard

This is the restaurant lounge attached to our hotel and the food is really yummy but what had made us return daily is our server Muhammad! He is the nicest and most efficient server we have had in a long time! If you're lucky enough to dine with him, he will assure you will leave with a smile.

Miel was a wonderful place to have a quiet lunch. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. The servers were polite and didn't come over more often than necessary. I would highly recommend this restaurant...in fact, I already have to a multiple coworkers! 11/10 experience.

We enjoyed a late afternoon snack on the outside patio along the waterfront. The food and service was perfect. We enjoyed and tasted classics, French onion soup ( French restaurant duh! ), New England clam chowder (loaded!) and Cesar salads. We added a fig and goat cheese flatbread too and that was delicious!

Delicious food and an excellent cocktail selection. We got a seat by the window with beautiful views of the channel, and it was quiet and calm (on a Wednesday evening) so my friend and I could enjoy the views, cocktails and have a wonderful conversation. Would definitely recommend, for both a business dinner, a dinner with a friend or a romantic date/special occasion.
