Went here just before the Friday night club crowd came in. Looking for good seasoned food in this town. Those cauliflower popcorn joints were ? and my lady said the jerk mac w/ chicken was A1. Glad I found this spot.
I really want to like this spot, but I feel like there's a lot of room to improve. I came on a Friday night and there was a networking event that night. The event and host were cool and I like they had a few TV's to watch the game. However when I ordered a burger and fries it was bland. The fries were soggy, the burger bun was much bigger than the burger. My standards are not the high for bar food and it felt like not a lot of effort or love went into it. We went to the Afro beats night and had a blast. The DJ was awesome, our waitress with the beautiful red hair was such a sweetheart and very helpful. Those chicken wings and plantains were so good and fresh! The people there were also a vibe no drama just a good time. My only criticism is the bathroom plumbing issues. I think it's worth the investment to have them fixed.
