Love this spot… Coffee, sandwiches, pastries and friendly service. Simpli all you need when spending time with friends or with yourself.

I rarely write reviews unless the experience stood out positively or negatively, but man did this one stand out. The girlfriend picked it for a quick bite while we were passing through the area. Looking at the menu it seemed like your typical new age trendy coffee shop. Prices were on the higher side but about par for the area and type of place it presents as. I was expecting a average “upscale” sandwich and salad but I was BLOWN AWAY. The panini came on a huge chunk of fresh bread that was among the best I’ve ever had and the combination of flavors was excellent. The salad had excellent presentation and an abundance of the add-ins, not just lettuce sprinkled with the good stuff. Everything was fresh tasting and the portions were perfect. The barista that took the order, made the coffee, and brought out the food was amazingly friendly and helpful. We have an allergy and she was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and even offered substitutes which most places don’t do. The fact that the salad could have the ingredients modified means the salad is actually mixed fresh - a surprisingly rare occurrence. We sat in the patio which was very comfy and clean. It looks like it has heaters for cold weather and an awning for rain which I was impressed with the forethought. The train does run right behind your head occasionally but nothing to fault the restaurant for.Overall, I was WAY more impressed than I was expecting to be. The execution of everything was spot on. It deserves way more recognition than it has by the reviews here; most of the negative ones seem to be from a while ago so they must have changed ownership or changed the place up. We’re already planing excuses to come back through the area just to stop here again.

NEVER OPEN, EVEN WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE. I've tried numerous times to go to this place. The sign on the door says open 7am-11pm Mon-Fri. I went there today at 5pm and they were closed. The times posted in Google differ from the ones on the door. Who are these people writing these great reviews? How are they getting in?

I'm going to have to concur with other low-end reviewers and say that I'm now fully convinced that this place must be some kind of front for nefarious business activities. I've lived in the area since 2015 and attempted to go there numerous times. They never seem to be open. Sometimes, I saw people inside, but the door appeared to be locked. This Yelp review says they are permanently closed, but Google says they are open, but with different hours, and there is a new GIANT banner out front that says NOW OPEN. However, when I tried to go there today I encountered the following: 1) A sign posted that said "Open Mon-Fri 7am-11pm (completely different hours than posted either here or on Google), on 2) A locked door; with 3) A giant CLOSED sign. I am baffled by two things: a) How are they getting all these great reviews (are they paying customers off I have to wonder? b) How do they afford to pay rent on Boston property running (or not running) a business like this. I guess the best way to summarize this is that "Simpli Bites" simply bites.

Fantastic Cubano panini and Mediterranean salad. Nice little outdoor patio area in back. Sweet time! Btw, this place is definitely open, not sure why Yelp thinks it's closed :-)

Visiting this restaurant was the strangest experience I've ever had at an eating establishment. My husband and I were walking in the area and decided to stop in and get lunch around noon. Mind you their hours say open from 7:00-3:00. The place was dark and deserted with a woman sweeping the bar area. Not another person in sight! I asked if they were open and with much hesitation she looked at her watch and said "yes" and then looked down like we were annoying her. Never offered to seat us or give us menus. Nothing! Should have left but we were hungry. She said they were only serving breakfast and whatever was on the board was what they were serving. The board said they had soup and when I asked about it, I was rudely told that they only had breakfast. Ok got it! So my husband ordered a breakfast sandwich and I ordered a mocha coffee. We seated ourselves in the corner. There was no chef! No other servers! Nobody around at all. I was so creeped out by the vibe in there. Yikes it was weird. The lady scrambled around in back making the sandwich. Lots of microwaving happening. Instead of a mocha I was given an espresso shot that tasted like hot garbage. So gross. I didn't even complain because the woman clearly didn't want us there. Wasn't friendly at all. After 20 minutes the sandwich came and was ok. But we never finished eating so fast! It was truly a twilight zone type of experience. Didn't seem like a functioning restaurant at all!! Never never never setting foot back there. Just terrible!

Erratic opening hours, subpar food...we have not been back since the ownership changed a few years ago. We can not recommend this spot.
