Instantly, I loved the down to earth Italian family vibe of this Boston establishment. There are quite a few pretentious, overpriced restaurants in the North End, but Spagnuolo's is not one of them! On Saturday night, I dined there with my two young nieces, brother, his mother-in-law, his wife, and my 11 year-old son. We got a couple of pizza pies, fried calamari, baked ziti, and some wine. With affordable prices, authenticity, spacious dining, and appealing to all ages, it's the perfect place to take your family!

Underground restaurant. Bad-tempered employees and the food was of poor quality. The dishes were combined carelessly. Overpriced. Eating there once was enough.

My friend an I were walking by and came across this gem in the north end. Very friendly vibes that make you feel like you’re eating at your Italian grandparents’. We got the bruschetta, ravioli’s, and spaghetti & meatballs. Food tasted great and fresh. Will return when I’m back around.

Terrible food. Really bad. Bad service. Yelling staff. Bill was way overcharged from menu prices.

Absolutely loved this family restaurant. My husband and I were just walking by and were pleasantly surprised at the welcome we received! We loved the authentic family vibe! The pizza was delicious!

Do yourself a favor, keep walking and don't let them solicit you off the street. That was the worst experience I have ever had in the North End.The place is a dump, the food is terrible.Doesn't deserve the 1 Star.

We were here for a conference and wandering around the North End at dinner time. We had previously had a fancy Italian dinner so we were looking for something more casual. We stopped to check out this place and we were welcomed right in by who we assumed to be the family matriarch! It appeared to be an old school family place and the food did not disappoint. We had a pizza and it was so delish! Saw another table get the ravioli and chicken parm and it also looked so good. Highly recommend giving it a try- it’s not white glove service, but homey and kitschy which was perfect!

My Husband and our two friends also married, went here before seeing the TOOL concert at TD Garden 2023. If I knew it had bad reviews I should’ve said let’s not. We walk in and are seated quickly which was nice. I really liked the decor, old timey gangsters and what not. We were sat next to the small bar area, an older lady she looked Spanish but maybe she was Italian I’m not sure came to our table. My husband and his friend ordered Peroni beers. His wife ordered a cosmopolitan. When it came time for me to order the older lady said they don’t have an alcohol license. I’m confused by this so I say can I get a Peroni then? She goes sure, my Husband and his male friend both get nice tall fancy gold rimmed glasses. I am given a standard pint glass not fancy. It’s clear as day I’m being treated differently than my handsome white husband and our also two Caucasian friends. I ask another waitress why I couldn’t get a mojito and why our waitress said they had no alcohol license. The girl was also confused and confronted the older woman about what she said. She said well we don’t have those ingredients we ran out. The younger waitress goes no we can still make her a mojito, and then I finally get my drink and an apology. After that older woman comes back to take our orders for dinner. We all say linguine and she keeps asking me if I want linguine and not something else. I say no linguine is fine. The food was bland, wouldn’t be surprised if the racist old hag spit in it. I am mixed black and white caramel skinned, lighter in winter, darker in summer. To be in my lighter stage of color and my half white half Italian friend darker than me and the older waitress who treated me so indifferently who was also tan like myself just blows my mind. That not only treating me like I belong in the colored section of the restaurant but just being so blunt about it. My Husband and friends were uncomfortable with the way she treated me and even asked me if I was ok. I think I will come back to see if they treat me the same way again with just my Husband and see if she’s there still.

We didn't read the reviews before dining and happy we didn't. Ma was having her dinner and son was our server. It felt really friendly and welcoming. They had a side of pasta for our daughter. Not the best food we've had but not the worst and we didn't feel bad about it because it was affordable.Kid-friendliness: Side pasta and meatballs

I just walked up to this place. Did not read reviews. I LOVE this place! Older family, Grandma makes her sauce. Pasta homemade. I got the Mushroom Ravioli! AMAZING! The sauce. Pure. Absolutely pure. I love this place!!! FAMILY OWNED! FAMILY OPERATED! And I'm a tourist, not from Massachusetts. I highly recommend!!

I don't even know if I have a right to review because I didn't eat here, but I got solicited in because they heard my partner speak Italian. Tables were sticky, place was completely VACANT during rush hour, and the matriarch of the place yelled at us for wanting to see the rest of the North End and wanted us to pay for plastic cup water. Shady! The waiter was wonderful to us though. He did his best.

They are cash only but wait until the check comes to tell you. Waitstaff will add tip to check automatically.

Pretty cool place, inside had fun lights and decor. Food was a little expensive, $15 for a calzone of a decent size but no sauce to go with it. Staff was very friendly and I felt
