We were told to pick up my birthday cake 1.5 weeks after we ordered it, on a Saturday at 1pm in Cambridge. No one bothered to tell us that there was a problem with the company's one delivery vehicle and that the driver hadn't even left Saugus with the day's deliveries when we called at 1pm. We had just arrived at the delivery location and didn't know what to do. The address was actually an ice cream shop, and the girl working there said that this happens all the time. Great experience!I was searching for a bakery around the area with vegan options when I found Sweet Bakery. I needed some vegan options for my roommate and these were perfect. I was able to order online and they had the cupcakes ready the same day, which was hard to find with other places. Once I placed my order I received a text saying that my order was ready and that the store was closing at 12:30pm. I messaged back saying I was at work until 5 and thought they closed at 8:30pm. Within minutes I received a text back saying they were short staffed and apologized and they would re-open the store when I was out of work. I arrived at 5:30 and the manager was waiting for me. He was a pleasure to talk to, very friendly, and accommodating. Thank you for the amazing service and even better cupcakes! The only thing I notice is the google pictures don’t match the location so type in the address and you shouldnt have a problem finding it.

Cupcake was fine but honestly not any better than you'd get at a grocery store bakery--my frosting was gritty, my husband's cupcake itself was stale.

This bakery is brilliant. I've ordered from them twice now and each time the service and birthday cakes were outstanding. The staff are so friendly and happy to accommodate any requests and the cakes themselves are high quality and delicious! I ordered the rose cake in teal for my daughter's birthday and it was just beautiful. I will continue to purchase birthday cakes from Sweet and highly recommend them.

Subpar Gluten Free Desserts! If you are looking for quickly delivered baked goods, Sweet is wonderful. My review is of their gluten and dairy free goods - and not of their delivery service or presentation, which were excellent. I received their cupcakes, and a custom order birthday cake, as a surprise for my birthday. I had somehow forgotten, when mentioning in passing to my significant other that they deliver assorted cupcakes, just how dry and flavorless the cupcakes I've had from Sweet have been. The cupcakes and the cake are both incredibly dry and bland. Not only that, but the "seasonal mix" of cupcakes are just vanilla and chocolate. It tastes like the cake was made several days before it was delivered. Frosting is so so. Their other treats may be wonderful, but if you are eating gluten free/dairy free - seriously look elsewhere (Pure Pastry, Something Sweet Without Wheat, Flour.... lots of other local options).

Ordered cupcakes (last minute) for my son who was turning 21 and my mom who was turning 75. Showed Jennifer a couple of ideas I saw on pinterest and she recreated them perfectly. They tasted great, too. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!!!

The worst company we have ever ordered a cake from. We were robbed. We paid for a cake that we NEVER received and made multiple attempts to address this. We spoke with Katia, the supposed manager, from the company and she was so unprofessional and was dishonest throughout this whole process. She kept invalidating our experience and negated everything we told her had happened. Our birthday celebration plans were completely RUINED because of the lack of professionalism from this company, They also are refusing to acknowledge we never received the order and are not willing to give out money back. This is robbery. Why would we make up the fact that we did not receive a cake? We just wanted to have a nice celebration today. We were patient and tried to be as kind about this process as much as we could but everything we experienced from this business is unacceptable. I strongly recommend no one order any cakes from this business or you too may be robbed and have your plans ruined. Wow, I really thought we could resolve this as professional adults over the phone or through email but this business is not willing to work with us or even apologize for this terrible experience we had. I normally refrain from posting negative reviews because I try to allow the business to work with me first but unfortunately this was not happening, so I had to post this to warn others. We were robbed. We have proof and records of everything and were still being discredited by the company. I give this place two thumbs up. There was fast and courteous service. The bill was well within reason for the quality. This place has good reviews for a reason.
I ordered cupcakes and cakepops from here and I was very disappointed to say the least. The cakepops were embarrassing as they were odd circles and the decorative icing were globs. The cupcake frosting were off center and just messy. I expected what I saw on their page but their work was very disappointing. I do small events and if I can't be certain of what I'm going to get with my orders, I can't use them and rush being embarrassed.

Have been going to years, but watching it sady go downhill. Store looks tired and dirty. Multiple flies buzzing around IN THE DISPLAY CASE, landing on the icing etc. We mentioned it to the girl and she says 'yeah, that happens'. We walked out. Charging that amount for cupcakes in a display with flies buzzing around? Raise the bar, Sweet. Raise the bar.
