after accidentally ordering the same thing twice back in undergrad, i now come to Teriyaki House exclusively for their Black Pepper Beef Bowl. and after 8-odd years of semi/annual visits, i can, attest that, with nigh pure certainty, it’s pretty good.it used to come on a plate, then they started to serve it in a bowl. and in these covid times it’s exclusively in a takeout bowl. but one thing remains constant, besides the vehicle it is served in: it’s pretty good.enough for a-meal-and-snack-later or one big meal. pretty good.

T-House is a mixed bag of feelings for me. I attend school right around the block from their Boylston location, and can confidently say I'm rarely disappointed. However, they've slipped up on my mushroom allergy (that i note in bold with several asterisks in my to-go orders) a couple of times and i didn't discover them in my food until I'd taken a bite. Whenever I've approached them about the issue, they'll usually do everything and anything in their power to avoid admitting fault. One time i called them after I'd gotten back home from picking up my chicken w/ mixed vegetables after I'd discovered it had mushrooms, told them I'd send them a picture, and that i was already experiencing mild symptoms after only one bite. The gentleman on the phone wasn't at all sympathetic and purely said "I'll need to call you back" and hung up on me. When he returned my call, he had the audacity to say "yeah, so the kitchen said you're lying about it, but by law, I'll have to refund you. Goodbye." I was appalled. Their food will always be amazing, their service and overall respect for the customer could be MILES better. I say this having worked in the restaurant industry for years.

absolutely love this place esp the crab rangoons and teriyaki chicken rice bowl. so bomb plus they have bubble tea!!! open late too u gotta love it
