Out of this world food combos and presentation. Best server we’ve had in a long time ...and a surprisingly good playlist made our dinner really special!

Ordered delivery through Caviar tonight from this spot for the first time. Everything was delicious and interesting! Curried carrot soup with walnuts, half chicken in juices with ratatouille, and mushroom ravioli. Yum!

THIS IS ALLSTON'S HIDDEN GEM. Wow!!! The oysters, confit chicken sandwich and lambshack are beyond belief.... juicy and crisp! The fries cooked perfectly too. There is an EXTENSIVE wine menu. Makes for a great date night spot. The interior of the place is stunning, with stained glass lamps and candles, gives of relaxing evening vibes. Service is supper accomadating and knowledgable.

The place is never really busy, but I'm pretty sure the owner wants it that way. He is quirky character. The food is very tasty. The chicken dish is tender and flavorful, the scallop appetizer were cooked perfectly. Drunken goat cheese is yummy too. Good wine selection. Owner gavegood recommendations, as I know nothing about wine. I'd definitely recommend this for a date night if you want somthing on the quite size or just a place to unwind and stuff your gullet.

The food is so good and I’m so thankful they are doing to go orders during this crazy time! I do miss sitting in the restaurant, though. The staff is amazing- very friendly and professional. Love everything about this place! The photo is the chicken sandwich, gnocchi, and beef cigars from today’s to-go order. Not pictured is the delicious griddled cheese we order every single time we go.

Great little spot. Several people in our party had food allergies or dietary restrictions and all were quite happy with the offerings. Many gluten free and vegetarian options. Will definitely return.

Superb neighborhood bar. Spotless- I could eat off the floor. Very friendly staff. Great beer and wine selection. Well priced. Juicy $1 oysters for happy hour. What more do you want?

One of the best meals in Boston! After stopping here randomly with friends in 2014, I've been back 5-10 times. The menu and experience never disappoints. highly recommended for a low key but memorable meal

I've been coming to Glenville Stops for three years and I can't stop coming. $1 oysters, incredible decor, fantastic beer and wine list, a quiet and calm atmosphere... in sports crazed Boston? This neighboorhood spot is a hidden gem. I hesitate to tell people about it lest it become too crowded like everywhere else in town, but this place deserves some hype. Hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Boston. Everything from staffing, to atmosphere, to the food itself is done with intelligence and grace. Perfect for a quiet night solo at the bar, a romantic dinner for two, or a small gathering for friends.

I'm ecstatic that I finally got to try this place out and satisfied my oyster cravings! Hidden behind Comm Ave, you'll find Glenville Stops among apartment buildings. It was larger than I expected when we walked in and saw so many tables that did start filling up as we were leaving. My friend and I came here for the $1 oysters they have from 5-7 PM. We were the first customers to enter right on the dot and got half a dozen oysters to start off while we continued to look at the menu. The oysters were fresh and cold and tasted like the ocean! We will definitely be going back for more as we enjoyed it with lemon and horseradish/cocktail sauce. We ended up ordering fritters, stops burger, and mussels for our meal. The mussels were a great addition to our seafood endeavors. The fritters were crunchy and the stops burger was made a solid medium-rare with fries to accompany it. The staff who works here are really great, super attentive and nice, which made our experience even better. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out when you come to Allston!

I can't rave enough about this restaurant. Warm atmosphere, unique and varied menu, fantastic beer and wine selection, incredible food! Almost forgot the daily buck a shuck happy hour oysters. As others have already said, Glenville is truly a gem, and unlike anything else in the area. Also, the owner is the nicest guy! Highly recommend the griddled cheese and sweet potato fritters among small plates, and for entrees, the Jamaican Kofta Curry is spectacular. However, you definitely can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

This place is actually hidden from Harvard ave in Allston, but you should really check it out, especially around 5-7 during happy hour when they serve one dollar oysters. I am an oyster lover and would get 3 dozens for only 36 dollars, not a bad deal at all. They also have a good burger if you are still hungry. In terms of atmosphere, it's has a quiet ambience band service is great. I am definitely going back more often

An exquisite gem! The finest dining in Allston. Impeccable menu and service, delightfully appointed, the best sound system in all of metro Boston. The food is fresh, the family cooking and serving are happy to do it and the prices are the best in the neighborhood(and all of metro Boston). I have never felt so elegant and comfortable at a restaurant in my life! Exceptional value, exceptional service, exquisite food!
