Trade is a chic Greek restaurant in the heart of Boston, very close to South Station. This place has a classy vibe to it. The staff is friendly and our server was polite, patient, and explained the menu well. He also proactively suggested specials. We asked to be seated at a different table and the staff made the change without any fuss which is not the case at many restaurants. The baked feta was delicious and one of the best baked fetas I've ever had! Charred eggplant and pita & maze were good too. I'll especially mention the tzatziki sauce, which was absolutely mouth watering! We ate this as part of the pita & meze but ask for this sauce on the side even if you don't order the meze. Loved trying the mastiha drink - don't go by the clear look of the spirit, it's not for the faint hearted! I ordered the flight which comprised mastiha and 2 brandies. Brandy was average and would recommend skipping the flight and going for mastiha straight. Overall, it's a bougie restaurant that offers a lot both for the palette and for the 'Gram. I give 4 stars because the bathroom wasn't as clean as you'd expect from a high end establishment.

There are so many positives about Trade. I'll start with the ambience which is classy, dimly lit with indoor plants added a charm to it. The servers were really friendly and knowledgeable. They explained the menu really well and gave excellent recommendations. We ordered Aphrodite's tears cocktail which is Mathilda liquor based drink and was utterly refreshing. My wife ordered a flight of Greek brandy's and liquor and she loved Mathilda liquor the most. In terms of food, baked feta was delicious and glazed eggplant was good as well. We also ordered pita mze as well and no complaints. Overall a nice date place, highly recommended and would visit again.

For Dine Out Boston, I had the pleasure of trying out Trade, a greek restaurant serving complex flavors in all of their courses as well as their drinks! The feta in the salad had an amazing texture and the charred carrots had such a unique sweet and tart flavor, coming from fried parsnips, cashews, orange blossom honey, and dill labneh. I could NOT stop eating pita with this sauce after finishing the carrots!!! The pita and meze came with spicy whipped feta and charred eggplant but its pairing with the tzatziki was of course my favorite! The steak came with cripsy smashed potatoes, mushroom, "horta" sautéed greens, and more charred carrot The sorbet had a light and refreshing flavor to end the meal Overall, I had a wonderful time here at Trade and definitely recommend visiting here for a special occassion including a great wine selection and authentic greek flavors‼

I came here with a colleague on a work trip without a reservation and they were so accommodating about squeezing us in despite a busy night. The food was incredible! I most loved the baked feta in phyllo, but the falafel burger pilaf and village salad (their take on a classic Greek salad) were also delicious. My only complaint would be the very dark lighting that wasn't ideal for a work dinner or Yelp photos (but maybe I'm just getting old).

I can not recommend this place enough. Been here quite a few times now and it has never disappointed - not once! The food is great - lots of options, the service has been wonderful each and every time (all the staff have been so kind and fun!) and the atmosphere is great! It's decorated very nicely and just has a great vibe no matter where you sit (I've now sat in the bar, main dining, and side room and loved them all). I even celebrated my birthday here with a friend and made a quick reservation note on open table along the lines of "table with a good vibe" etc and they were SO accommodating and recommended we grab a drink at the bar beforehand so that they could have a better table for us and gave menu suggestions (this also happened to be my first time trying this restaurant). Just love this place so much and there's something for everyone here. I recommend the espresso martini!!

Food is perfectly tasty but not all that special and especially not at these prices. Service was good and the space and vibe are cool.

Would give this place a 3.8.Had read about this place on some food blogs and decided to go for their dine out boston week ($55 for app, entree, dessert).Ambiance was nice, cool lighting and wide open space with lots of chic yet rustic vibes. We sat in the back room with glass walls which gave us a nice view of the place yet also felt intimate and personal, despite being near other tables. Noise level was good and the mood felt trendy without being obnoxious. In terms of actual food, 3/4 of us opted for the pita meze appetizer which comes with spicy feta, tzatziki, and babaganoush. My favorite was the spicy feta—the other two dips weren’t bad but lacked flavor-i feel like we have had better, richer tzatziki from fast casual places like Saloniki. The pita was fine, warm but felt like it either could’ve been crispier or softer—it was sort of an in between texture that made it feel somewhat stale. I also didn’t appreciate the server advising us against ordering so much of the meze, felt condescending. One of us got the carrot appetizer which was both beautiful and delicious, with a yogurt dill sauce and crispy parsnips on top.Service was honestly pretty slow but we didn’t mind because we were in good company. Felt like it took 20min between the time they asked if we were ready for our main course and the time they cleared our first dish. 2/4 of us got the 6oz steak, and then the others got the swordfish and the eggplant. Everything came out with a beautiful presentation, especially the swordfish! My eggplant tasted fresh, creamy, and had a great farm to table feeling, but i am glad i tried this during restaurant week as it really does not feel like a big enough portion for an entree (it is one thick slice of eggplant without any sides, about the size of an average avocado toast). But everything on top of it was flavorful and blended well together.Swordfish got the best reviews at the table. Steak was fairly unevenly cooked, especially for our pregnant friend who ordered medium (most of it looked pretty rare, with some pieces that were obviously barely cooked). Potatoes were crispy and a good texture but unevenly seasoned with some being flavorful and others bland. The veggies that came with steak (specifically carrots) were very fresh and well cooked though! For dessert, 3/4 of us tried the baklava and one got mango sorbet. I actually liked the sorbet the best, but it was small. The baklava was an interesting take on traditional baklava but felt like it was pretty bland and missing the honey that makes baklava so distinct in flavor and texture. It was more of a dry lasagna of phyllo dough with sweet yogurt sauce which wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything special. Beautiful presentation though!Overall, we all agreed this was ~3.8-3.9 (the carrots, swordfish, eggplant brought up the score). Glad to have sampled during restaurant week, would not necessarily return as portions are small, pricey, and nothing exceptional. Best part of the meal was probably the ambiance (minus the bathroom—you hhave to walk down an extremely dark hallway to then be blinded by bright lights in the bathroom that don’t fit the vibe) and the company!

Highly recommended for a dining experience/date night. Our server Javier was nothing but spectacular and the food was out of this world. The 16 ounce ribeye and grilled lamb chops were perfectly cooked and served immaculately. You have to finish off with the yogurt baklava that dessert will change your life!!!

Went here for valentines day. I really would describe this restaurant as sexy. The lighting is very low and there are a lot of tables for two that only have one small light between the two of you, which encourages conversation. I thought the food was very good. I really enjoyed the octopus and they had a special white wine which was a santorini assyritko wine and it was lovely. Im looking forward to coming back here! I would say the flatbread is super small really not worth ordering unless you're sharing it as a starter

Don’t Trade Trade For AnotherA hip, sleek, and darkened higher-end establishment with gentle thumps of house beats, Trade is a non-trader for another restaurant. This experience is not your “opa!” plate-smashing affair with Theia & Theio, but a delicious tasting event in a to-be-seen venue.A dimly lit table with minimal lighting, it sets a tone for intimate discussions, or a focus on plate presentations…your choice.Starting with aptly-named cocktails “Empire of the Winds” and “Jungle Bird of Mykonos”, well-balanced and whetting the appetite, we opted for a pair of small dishes tapas-style. Mushroom Pizzette (delectable as expected- savory mouthfuls of fig, pistachio, manouri and graviera cheeses), and Grilled Octopus (lightly charred, but the fava santorini, pickled onions, dill and- nice touch- sesame seeds- were the stars).Whole Roasted Branzino and Skirt Steak as Mains continued the sharing theme and complemented each other well; these were equally paired with glasses of Assyrtiko and Agiorgitiko. To end our meal, a “slice” of Baklava Yogurt Napoleon- likely immediately assembled- it was the perfect conclusion (along with Vinsanto) to a Greek experience that led us on a tasting tour. Refined, salty-sweet, savory, and delectable. Memorable dishes, well-presented, and attentive service. We will return.Hints- close to South Station or alternatively to pay parking (280 Congress).

We thought the pita& meze is free refill but turns out one set of refill is 6 bucks. It would be greatly soo if we are informed beforehand. We like the swordfish and napoleon, steak is ok not very tender/juicy.
