Always our go to because they are consistently welcoming of our whole family, including our 2 kids. We all enjoy the food (and that's saying a lot for our selective eater in the group).Kid-friendliness: They are always welcoming and accommodating to our 2 kids.
Our best meal on our Boston trip. Electric atmosphere, friendly staff, fabulous food. I had the sicilian sausage with potato gnocchi. Perfect blend of flavours. My wife had the steak tips on a bed of pasta. Delicious. Highly recommend

The food was delicious, and location was charming in Little Italy area of the North End. We were one of two couples in the restaurant, and, unfortunately, we were seated with one chair up against an active heater. There should have been at least 3-foot clearance, but chair was directly on the heater. It would have been nice to have been seated at one of the many open tables instead.

Seated promptly at reservation time. Food is very good but kitchen timing was off. Required by server to give full order at one time. Salad came out first, appetizer next. Had to box them both up after one bite as dinners came to the table too fast. Disappointed. Server was efficient and pleasant. Had eggplant appetizer, salad, calamari special and bolognese. All very good.

Absolutely DELICIOUS food, every dish surpassed expectations. The pasta is homemade and so wonderfully cooked the way that only homemade pasta can be. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was truly unique.Wheelchair accessibility: Not very accessible

Had an amazing Valentine's dinner at Monica's! We ordered so much food, and everything was delicious! Good sized portions, and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The chicken parm was probably the best cooked chicken cutlet we've ever had. I loved the pistachio martini, and we both devoured the roasted garlic bread, meatballs, and calamari for apps. Service was excellent! We're already talking about going back again!

I dined at Monica’s yesterday and I can’t stop raving about how amazing the food was. The service was top notch, it was my friends birthday and they were very hospitable, they gave her sparklers on her cake. The interior decor, and attention to detail was on point, I felt like I was in Italy. 10/10 experience. P.S make sure you get the calamari, the best I have had.

Went to the bar for drinks in New Year’s Eve and I thought it was a great cozy place in the neighborhood.

We had a lovely dinner. We went early before a Bruins game and were seated promptly. It was a busy night and the tables felt a little too close together, but between the good drinks (great bar drinks) and delicious pasta, we weren't bothered. The pasta, especially the gnocchi, were perfectly made and cooked. The carbonara and frutti del mare special were the stand outs. Overall highly recommend and we'll be back!
Overall disappointing. We had heard great things but our experience was not. Salads were not fresh and way too much salt. We had the Bolognese and it was not very good. Basically some noodles and ground beef in a watery sauce. Maybe just a bad night which happens to all places - but for us with all of the great choices in Little Italy, we wouldn't return.
This place is coasting. Long wait for everything despite a reservation and people mostly finished. Food seemed pre-prepared (chicken parm was tough, pasta over-cooked). Noise level insanely loud. Servers untrained.

First time ever going to Monica’s, I wouldn’t go back. My friend ordered the chicken parm and didn’t like it. I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi and “famous” steak tips in Gorgonzola cream sauce. The steak tips had no flavor, the gnocchi was off white, very doughy and tasted like nothing, the sauce was the only highlight. We went based on multiple recommendations about the food and it was not good.

Definitely better restaurants in the north end. We were 15 minutes late due to the traffic. Hostess never called to confirm and gave our table away. Decided to hang out at the bar until a table became available. The bartender was rude and the drink wasn’t made properly. The dinner service was slow. The vodka sauce chicken parm was very spicy. The lobster pasta was very watery and underwhelming. Overall there’s plenty of better Italian restaurants in Boston.

Had a great meal here but when I opened the rest of my meal I took to go I swear the pasta was different pasta than what was on my plate and I’m a little weirded out now.
