What a cute little family-owned place. A few home-made pastas, VERY fresh seafood, and portions that would make any nonna proud. Flavors are amazing - a great Italian-American meal with the service to match. You can't go wrong with their marinara, some of the best I've had.

The mushroom crepe appetizer was so so tasty! The gnocchi themselves had good flavor and consistency, but the sauce was fairly underwhelming. I loved the flavors in the squid ink pasta dish, just wish the scallops had been cooked less. Our waiter was very nice!

Watched the bartender eat peanut butter Crumble cookies in the middle of making a drink. Followed by a server taking a bite and licking his fingers. Not food safe at all. Could literally kill someone! Never going back!

Simply delicious! Fantastic house made pasta selections- a must try! The best grilled squid appetizer that I have eaten outsode of Greece! Super tender and flavorful and leaves you craving days later to go back for more! The lobster salad has a VERY generous portion of lobster and is a great, filling salad. Make a reservation as this restaurant gets a lot of traffic being so delicious and location in the North End!

The food and drinks were excellent! Had the blueberry martinis that were so good ! The food was delicious! We did not have a reservation but were able to sit there since we came at 4:30ish on a Saturday night! Otherwise , the city was bustling and I am sure we would have needed a reservation! Wanted to try the margherita pizza so we ordered it as our appetizer! So crispy and delicious! Meatball appetizer was not as good, It was a small portion (3) and not as soft as I would have expected! We had the spinach pappardelle, chicken tortellini (tortellini di pollo) , pappardelle bolognese, small salad mixta was great, I don't think you can go wrong with any of their dishes! Waiter was so nice! I definitely would go again and definitely recommend!

This is a hidden gem of the North End. For someone thats been living in Boston for close to two decades, I finally had the opportunity to try out this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. Needless to say, the foods were incredible and on par with many of the Italian establishments on Hanover Street but more reasonably priced. They have over a dozen of home made pasta dishes one can choose from. Make sure you make reservation before hand because you won't be able to sit at a table without one during the weekend. The best part of the experience was the our server, Felipe. He was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. He took time to help pair our meal based on what we were craving for. He also gave us a surprise at the end of the meal with a free tiramisu because the kitchen was busy and our foods were slightly delayed. Overall, i am looking forward to my next outing at Vinoteca di Monica in North End.

This spot has good Italian food, but not everything has the wow factor. The squid ink pasta was awesome! Everything in the dish was perfectly cooked. The wild mushroom with goat cheese appetizer was also very delicious. All the ingredients in it blended well together. The calamari is a safe choice for an appetizer as it is tasty with large pieces of calamari; great for a group. I also had the spaghetti with meatballs. The flavor was decent, but the meatballs were overcooked for my liking. The staff members are awesome. Perfect customer service! The restaurant is casual, clean, and decently spacious.

Stopped in here on Saturday morning about 10:30am and ate on the sidewalk table area. The menu had something for everyone and was delicious. I highly recommend the food. Great place for brunch

Fantastic homemade pasta. Have gone here over five times and have yet to be disappointed with anything on the menu and we have tried something new every time! Wait staff is always polite and considerate. A special thanks to Felipe who was patient and accommodating to our group!

There is a new sherif in town and WOW- she is out to ruin her family legacy. What an absolute shame. We have been dining here for about 25 years. We have send hundreds of friends, couples and random strangers on the street to eat at this formerly wonderful family run restaurant with formerly amazing service, huge portions and great value. We have hosted business dinners here. So this review is not from some random customers that didn’t like their server. In the past you would sit down and your Italian waiter or waitress would tell you about the specials with pride. When we asked this waitress if there were any specials she said, “look at the menu- it’s all special.” I then asked her how long she had worked there. She said “my whole life. It’s my parents restaurant and now I manage it.” The entire evening she had the most awful attitude of any server I can remember anywhere. She acted like we were lucky to be sitting in her restaurant and everything we needed was a burden to her. Why she is front of the house is baffling because she clearly hates the customers. She knew we weren’t happy with a myriad of items that I don’t need to detail here but she decided her final act of superiority was to add 20% service on our bill. That is NOT disclosed on the menu but she wanted to be in charge and she “showed” us. We could have made a scene and demanded she remove or but we took the high road out of respect for the other staff and the sweet bussers and hoped some of the top made it to the back of the house. What a shame an incredible North End Tradition for our family and business has been ruined by this one spoiled brats attitude. Our best to her family. They were amazing for so many years.

Our favorite place for a romantic date night or for family visiting us. The homemade pasta is cooked perfectly in every dish, I know bc I tried four different kinds today! We had two anti pasto which were fresh and beautiful starters to our meals. Our outdoor table was perfect for some Aperol spritz however, one member of our group got the red sangria and we quickly jumped on those, so yummy. Homemade bread is sooooo good, say yes if they ask you if you want some.

Cheese fritters were good! Meatballs were ok. Absolutely loved the mushroom raviolis! Highly recommend! Boyfriend had the gnocchi and sausage and he said that was good! Service was good! Sat by the window and great people watching spot!

Visited Vinoteca Di Monica for lunch. Outside seating available but you're packed in pretty tight and close. Waitstaff is really nice and happy. They offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu during the day so there are plenty of options. I ordered a modified mushroom ravioli no issues ordering and it came out exactly as expected. Mom ordered a lobster roll special with fries. $38 and she said 1/10. There are plenty of other options in the north end for a good hearty lobster roll, choose those. The fries however are PERFECT!

My team ate here this last week. It was incredible! We had 12 people with us. The service was fantastic. The drinks and wine list were perfect. The eggplant parm appetizer was spectacular. The fresh pasta with truffle mushrooms was so good. And… the chocolate cake for dessert was moist and fabulous. I will def be back!

We were walking in the North End looking for place for dinner and picked Vinoteca di Monica in large part because of the extensive wine list. We were pleased with the wine that we selected, but the food was disappointing. We each had pasta dishes. The sauces on both were quite heavy (they needed to be thinned). More importantly, each had some meat (sausage in my case). This is an odd complaint, but there was way too much. It overwhelmed the pasta and the (very heavy) sauce. Our server -- who tried very hard -- was not ready for prime time. Simple questions about the menu required that he go off and ask someone else. To his credit, he gave it his best, but needed more training.
