The doorman bouncer needs an attitude adjustment. On a bit of a power trip. by reading the other comments, the owners may want to consider finding someone else for the job. He might be a friend or family though, as I’m pretty sure he was there pre-Covid. He was miserable and bad for business then

There was security outside making sure of the number of people entering except it was ridiculously crowded regardless. We basically had to squeeze in and watch from a distance. Not the best experience and probably won’t go back again.

Really disappointed with this place. Staff member was yelling at my friend after his ID didn’t scan even though it was a completely legal ID. This happened to multiple other people while we were waiting in line as well. Another staff member was rude to an older couple near us when they were confused by what she was saying. The staff member yelled at them saying “you don’t have to look at me like that” when they were just confused. The entire back of the place was just an unfriendly and uncomfortable place due to the rudeness. I would never go back.

Bouncer/bartender wouldn’t let one of us in because he couldn’t scan his ID and refused to try more than once. He was extremely rude about it even though we’re all in our thirties and have 2 forms of ID (Driver’s license and military) and lacked the common sense that ID offices do to validate through 2 forms, simply because his machine didn’t work. He was yelling over customers shoulders and pushing people in the bar and another employee was nasty to an older couple next to us. Hostile environment and the music was just okay.

It is the real deal jazz point in Boston. I dare to say in Massachusetts! Always great people playing AWESOME music, the ambient is cozy and personable, and the service always comes with a smile! I can't recommend this place enough! It's a crown jewel!

They don’t have food but wanted to give them 5 stars anyways. I love this place so much, i’ve been here a few times and it’s good for live jazz. I typically go for the 9pm to 1am slot. Drinks are a little pricey but worth it to me. It is small so you have to get there a little early, it fills up quickly. Overall I love Wally’s cafe and would definitely recommend checking it out! :)

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but this quaint little Jazz club was a nice spot to go to on a Thursday night with a friend of mine. We enjoyed the music the band played and had some drinks to unwind. The bartender bartended and the bouncer bounced. Wally's was a cool spot and I'll definitely go again.
